I went for something that was advertised on their flyer but couldn't find it on the show floor. I asked the one and only employee that I could find...the cashier (very nice and as helpful as she could be). She found out the item hadn't been "put out" yet. I had already done most of my shopping otherwise and didn't want to interrupt her again to find out if I could use Google pay, so I waited in line to do so. This was my first attempt at using tap to pay (which didn't work for me this time), but she tried to help me out and even offered to use her own card if I could CashApp her the funds. I would have gladly done so, but due to the preferred payment type, that offer was not a viable solution. Not wanting to take up any more time, I apologized for having to leave my cart. That's when a second associate offered to set it aside til morning as they were closing and wouldn't have time to restock the items anyway. As far as prices go, they are hit or miss. Some things are really cheap compared to other stores, and some prices are merely on par with the competitors. If you know what it costs elsewhere and can find that item at Ollie's for a cheaper price, scoop it up, and consider buying more than one if it's a favorite because they don't usually have the same stock around for long. Note: I have been there in the past, waiting in line as the store closed, and due to delays in payment transaction or the slow progression of the humans involved, I have had the register close before I was able to check out and had to leave empty handed after having spent hours shopping with the family, which was very frustrating, to say the least...which is why I decided to move out of the line when I knew it was going to take more than a minute to troubleshoot my payment issues. I'm sure the associates would have continued to do whatever they could to help me, but I personally didn't want to cause the customers who were behind me any further delay in...

Because they're a "closeout" store, their stock changes constantly, and there's no guarantee that an item they had once will be available again, so keep that in mind when shopping. Plan to visit when you have lots of time to browse, because there's a lot to see.
The food and drink they sell is all within "best by" dates, and it's as fresh as it would be in any other store. They sell name brands as well as "store brands", and all items have a price tag, so there's no guessing the price or having to match a UPC code with a shelf tag.
I like Ollie's and go as often as I'm able, and I always find a...
Read moreThis is my second time back to Ollie’s and once again, I wasn’t let down. I originally went within the first couple weeks of the opening and there was a great selection. Now the selection has grown more, there’s even more items in stock. They get new items weekly and the deals are great. If you’re into reading, comics, graphic novels, or even children’s books then this is your spot. There’s a very impressive book section at really low prices. There’s also puzzle books like Sudoku, Crossword, or Word Search. They have more clothes now. A lot of work clothes too, including overalls and boots. Nice selection of appliances. Lots of toys, health, and home products. Definitely...
