YOU THINK YOU ARE WORKING CUSTOMER SERVICE SHOULDN'T YOU KNOW ? SECONDLY I NEED SOME GRAY CAULK SO I GO TO THE CAULK ARE I FIND ONE GREY COLOR SI I TAKE UP TO THE PAINT COUNTER AND ASK THE PERSON MANNING THE PAINT DESK DO YOU HAVE ANOTHER GRAY DARKER THAN THIS ONE . DID YOU SEE ANOTHER GREY BACK THERE NO I SAID THEN WE DON'T ANOTHER GREY. WHAT IF YOU NEED A DARKER GREY I ASK SHE SHRUGGED HER SHOULDERS THEN SHE SAID THERE MAY BE ONE IN THE TILE GROUT AREA I'M SURE THERE IS I SAY HOWEVER THAT IS SANDED CAULK AND LOOKS DIFFERENT BUT IT WOULD BE DARKER SHE SAYS AND TELL HER IT WILL NOT WORK SHE SHRUGGED HER SHOULDERS AGAIN. THEN I GO TO CHECK OUT NO CASHIERS SO I HAVE TO GO TO THE SELF CHECK OUT WHERE THE MACHINE GETS STUCK AS ABOUT 2-3 OTHERS SO I CALL THE ONLY EMPLOYEE WHO IS SWAMPED SHE COMES OVER WELL WHATS YOUR PROBLEM ITS STUCK I SAY SO SHE WIGGLES THE GLASS ON THE THING AND IT WORKS ONCE THEN I HAVE TO WAIT FOR HER AGAIN WHAT NOW SHE SAYS I SAY ITS STUCK AGAIN SHE SAYS I FINALLY WAIT AND GOES TO HER STATION DOES SOMETHING AND IT STARTS AGAIN. I GO TO PAY GETS STUCK AGAIN. SHE IS CLEARLY FRUSTRATED AS I BUT SHE ASKS ME WHAT DID I DO TO IT . I SAID WELL I TRIED TO PAY WHICH IS A NORMAL PROCEDURE AFTER RINGING UP YOUR PURCHASE . SHE DIDN'T SHE THE HUMOR IN MY STATEMENT. I FINALLY GOT OUT OF THE STORE WITH 4 ITEMS IN A LITTLE UNDER AN HOUR. THIS WAS TERRIBLE AND IT IS GETTING WORSE . THERE WAS ONE BRIGHT SPOT A GUY NAMED CHRIS WHO WAS NICE , HELPFUL AND HAD SOME SENSE . I DON'T KNOW WHAT DEPARTMENT HE WORKED IN BUT HE HAD ON A BLACK HOME...

My grandparents wanted to order counter tops from them and had someone do an estimate when they were in the store and told them the next step was for them to pay and then they would send someone out to measure within 48 hours. So we called the store to pay and they would not accept our payment over the phone because it was too large of a purchase. (Which they never told us we would have to come back in the store to pay and schedule the person to come out) Then I asked if there was any way for them to take the payment over the phone because I had the estimate already. Then they told me that the person that did the estimate did not log it in the computer so we were going to have to come up there again and get everything in the computer and then pay. I reluctantly agreed to have my grandparents go back up there even though they had to drive 45 min to the store and get a wheelchair with masks and make their way to the counter section. So they did all of this again and when they arrived at the store the people in that department weren't working that day and sent them home and said no one in the store could help them. I then called and asked to speak to the manager about this situation and when I explained everything to the manager he never once apologized and just said I will have someone call you. Well when I received the call from home Depot it was a worker in that department calling to explain how the process works to order counter tops. š¤¦š»āāļø I knew how it worked but they were not working with us to get it done. Needless to say we will not be using them to do my grandparents kitchen...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI'm originally from Miami. Been in the military, and been around the world. Seen many Home Depots around this wonderful country. Came out here from being stationed at Ft Benning, and fell in love with the city of LaGrange. Decided to live here. Now, unto the reviews.
Pro: They are for the most part nice people. The store is really quiet/or less crowded in comparison to other Home Depot. Good ol country folks mostly.
Con: Poor LaGrange. This Home Depot is the worst. The employees are uneducated, in what they should do. I went there the other day and a manufacturer gave me more info on the products, then the people who worked at the store. Yes, I asked an employee in that department - and he was honest in telling me he knew nothing, but I should ask the manufacturer.
Then upon my second time coming in this store, I went to the customer service counter. There I met a young lady who said she was overwhelmed and stressed. As stressed as she looked I was wondering how? There weren't that many customers (about 3). Also, she had 3 other people (home depot workers) behind the counter helping her. Still, after all of that she messed up my order.
Question: Who is the manager here and does the CEO know how poorly this place is running?
Conclusion: Someone needs to do an "Undercover Boss" there and see for themselves the issues that lie there. Please make a change or it will continue or get worst. If this continues, I will have to take my business elsewhere (like Walmart). Word of mouth is still powerful, and so are online bad...
