Don't stay here. The photos on the website are old. They do not truly represent the hotel in its current state. The things you see in the pictures looking new and clean and freshly painted were taken when this hotel was a Best Western. It is no longer a Best Western and the same furniture, carpet etc. Are still there. The smell of the rooms are musty, there are roaches. I called the front desk to report it and asked for someone to bug spray the room. No one came to do that. They are very controling with their towels. The carpets are dirty and very stained. The outside gardens are non existent. Everything was run down and old musty smelling. The guest laundry room was terrible, filthy dirty, the sign said no smoking but the laundry room was full of cigarette butts in the sink and on the floor. Only one dryer worked and that was being used. We took our clothes to a laundry matt in town. Wall paper in rooms is either stained or bubbling off the walls. The curtains were stained and dirty. The hotel laundry vents were full of lint and blown all over the walk ways. A fire hazzard waiting to happen. The courtyard was gated from the outside areas. Some of the gates did not work. Lots of unseemly people roaming around the parking lots and walking around. We could not wait to get out of this hotel. Ihop was great and the staff of the hotel were friendly but they could not give you a wash cloth or towel without checking with the front desk first. Or they told us to take our dirty towels to the front desk and we might get another one if we asked for one after they passed our room, we thought that was odd. There we stains in the bed spread the dust ruffel around the bed and they are the same ones that were there 20 some years ago so they were also pretty worn. The only thing nice was the pool but the area around the pool needed to be presure washed. One yh e way to the lobby from the courtyard were over grown bushes with thorns ,a pile of dirty rugs laying out side next to the walkway to th e lobby. The steps down to the lobby were coming apart and missing grout, the once nice outside gatheting area was run down, dirty and rotting wood. Everything needed to be redone or painted. We walked into the lounge/bar. It looked good. There was a hole in the roof in the lobby with water coming in next to the windows. Sad,sad place. The Mexican restaurant next door is boarded up. Abandoned. I took pictures of all this but see no place...
Read moreI'm so disappointed! Every few weeks I come to LaFayette Garden or Super 8 to get away from my roomies for some alone time. I came in today at 3:00 pm and been changing rooms every since! The first room I went to smell like mold, so I was changed to another room. The second room seemed perfect. I relaxed for a hour, watched tv and fell asleep. I woke up and used the restroom just to find out the toilet doesn't flush. I went back to the front desk again and she couldn't find a plunger and said maintenance was there but didn't want to be bothered. She changed me again. I told her I had things in the room i have to get out first since I have to move instead of getting a plunger. She gave me the keys to the new room. I go to the old room to get my things out and the key doesn't work! I got back and she reactivate the key meanwhile laughed as if it was funny I've been walking back and forward to these awful rooms she represents. So I go get my things out the old room and when I walk into another new room it's hot but the a.c. is on 60 the lowest temp and set to run on high now I'm very upset because this is the third room I've moved to. And she's finding humour in giving me all these horrible rooms. I've been here since 3pm and it's 10pm now still no a.c. 68 dollars gone and I haven't enjoyed but 1 hour of my room. I'm exhausted from walking and driving back in forward going though gates moving my belonging from one horrible room to another. Usually i pay 45 for the Super 8 room but I thought I'd step it up a notch and they failed me. I've been coming here years even before the new management and the change over. When I lived in Atlanta I'd come here every weekend to visit family and stay here. These ppl could care less if they take your money and insult you by laughing at your concerns. The new (blk) lady was nice at check in but is slow, disorganized and once youve checked in could careless. I honestly think she moved me into these horrible rooms on purpose. I seen no one complaining about the a.c., toilet or mold but me im the only one walking back and foward and...
Read moreThis was the WORST hotel experience that I have ever had. The beautiful pictures are very deceiving.
When we arrived, the wash cloths in the bathroom were dingy at best. We asked for the towels and wash cloths to be replaced and I was instructed that I needed to go to the front desk and get them which I did. Then, I was informed of the shortage of both. The bathroom was not cleaned properly. There was hair on the floor and in the tub and shower. I reported this to the front desk and requested that someone come in a clean the bathroom as I was leaving out to visit with family in the area. I was gone for about 3 hours. The bathroom still had not been cleaned when I returned.
I reserved 2 rooms for 2 days. When we left the room on the 2nd day to attend a funeral, we returned to find that the room had not been cleaned. The same was true in the 2nd room that I had reserved for my mother and sister. We complained to Meghan, who was working the front desk. She refunded us for one night. However, when I returned to the room, I found that we had run out of toilet paper and there was a roach crawling around the bathroom.
Outside of my mom and sister's room were two people sleeping. Once the woman awoke, she proceeded to vomit directly in front of my mom and sister's room. There were unsavory looking people all around this hotel and it appeared that they were involved in some illegal business transactions. Do not stay here!!!
This is not even a 1 star hotel. It's less than that. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to post my review without...
