Cons: 2 light switches did not work. Specifically, it was the main light that was supposed to light up most of the room. Right when I came in, I switched the light switch to my right and it did not come on - right away disappointing. Those pictures I took of the over filled trash cans were taken between 9:40a.m - 10a.m. Additionally, the room was never cleaned and restocked for towels for the 2 day stay and we were out of toilet paper and conditioner by night 2. We came back to unmade beds and no fresh towels. We had to ask for more towels. Pros: Good breakfast but the biscuit was not thoroughly cooked. The middle part of the biscuit was doughy which can cause an upset stomach. The trash cans in the front have not been changed when we arrived at 9pm. Still full between 9-10am, the next morning. The front desk staff was generally friendly. The breakfast woman was courteous and friendly. **Response: Those pictures were taken between 9:40a.m - 10a.m. definitely not early in the morning. That is very late morning. Additionally, the room was never cleaned and restocked for towels for the 2 day stay and we were out of toilet paper and conditioner by night 2. We came back to unmade beds and no fresh towels. We had to ask for more towels.

Beware the sofa beds if you have to use one. First room had crumbs on the pullout mattress so I brushed them off and checking under it revealed fruit loops and assorted food. They were sold out except for one other room so they put us there...but that pullout didn't have a mattress cover so we could quickly see the nasty stains all over it. We went back to the fruit loop room since we needed to go to sleep. The room had a heater that smelled like burning hair, mold at the bottom of the shower curtain and in the sink, broken in-shower soap/shampoo dispenser, windows that wouldn't shut so outside noise came in such as the train & folks in the parking lot talking, and a toilet that wouldn't stop dripping and partially flushing itself every 3 minutes. The room was near the elevator so we heard the loud ding every time the elevator doors opened. The second night folks were talking in the hallway on and off from midnight until 2:30AM. The front desk staff was friendly, but they can only work with what they have. The breakfast was good.

The main bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious (we had a suite). But the pull-out sofa bed was VERY uncomfortable. We really liked that there was a door between the bed and the pul-out couch for extra privacy. The people in the room right next to us were very loud/yelling/partying and were playing very loud music for HOURS. We had to contact the front desk 3 separate times before it was taken care of adequately - and by then it was well after midnight. The inside of the bathroom door (near the bottom) was really gross - see picture. No refund (partial or otherwise) was offered due to the loud neighbor. Asking for help 3 times and not falling asleep until nearly 1:00 AM is totally unacceptable. The breakfast buffet is really not good - poor/limited selection. We will be returning to this area several times in the next few years and will not be staying here.

UPDATE FROM MANAGER RESPONSE The response from the GM is laughable!! She continues to be dishonest as per her response to me below. We talked ONCE when I called to inquire about my belongings never heard back from her again. Lies, lies, and more lies. Funny a friend of mine left some expensive shoes in a hotel room after attending a wedding recently she called and wouldn’t ya know, they had them and mailed them back! WOW. THATS THE WAY THINGS SHOULD WORK, RIGHT? THAT IS HONESTY. Maybe I wouldn’t be so angry if the management and corporate would have offered some kind of acknowledgement and/ or compensation . Instead, they denied, denied, denied. It’s very easy to claim that the items weren’t found impossible to verify that, and she knows it. Not sure how Nikki can be so sure that she and her hotel staff is so honest especially considering the sketchy individual noted to be loitering in the lobby who was obviously known to the front desk staff. Her reassurance to me means absolutely nothing~ she proved to me from the get go that she was dishonest after she never bothered to contact me as promised after our first and ONLY conversation. Speaks volumes. Again, my fault for leaving the items, but that by no means suggests that they are fair game to whomever finds them. AGAIN, STAY AWAY IF YOU VALUE YOUR BELONGINGS. Nikki, you can write what you want in response to my update; I will not waste another second of my time reading it or commenting.

Hotel was clean and what one would expect for the price~ no frills. Had a decent experience up until I mistakenly left 2 items- a Lululemon bag and a Patagonia fleece in my room upon check out. I am 100% POSITIVE I left them in my room, as I brought them in and never wore them out of the hotel during my stay. Admittedly, this was on me; I own that. I have no reason to lie about leaving them there; I can afford to replace them. That said, it’s not finders keepers items left behind should not be a free for all though apparently thats the mentality of this hotels employees. After many phone calls and emails, they were not found per the GM, Nikki. Shocker. As a matter of fact, she never even returned my call after our first contact; claimed she did; I have no record of any such call, nor do I have a message.. She still hasn’t responded to my last email from a month ago. Guess my things just disappeared into thin air! Wow! How does that happen to 2 nice, rather expensive items you may ask? Answer= it doesn't. Corporate was of no help~ every time I emailed, I got a canned response from a different person; I was told only the hotel management could assist me. Well that was a joke. It’s blatantly clear that no one in this company cares about customer satisfaction. Complete and utter incompetency and dishonesty.

Had to give a least 1 star in order to post a review that is the only reason I gave it 1 should be a negative number. DON’T STAY HERE IF YOU VALUE YOU BELONGINGS. CONSUMERS HAVE CHOICES~ TAKE YOUR...

Holiday Inn Express and Suites is the best hotel in Lagrange, GA! Very friendly staff, nice rooms and comfortable beds! The staff is very accommodating and professional and has been each time we have been guests there. It appears that management, and all who work there, are concerned about making each guest's stay, whether over night or a series of nights, as nice and uneventful, as possible. Now on to the breakfast bar! Rose, super chef of the breakfast bar, is amazing! She greats you with a smile and is always ready to serve you; making your breakfast experience better than most restaurants! She engages you in conversation and her personality reflects that she really cares about those who stop in for the hot breakfast which features delicious egg omelets, turkey and beef sausage patties, various cereals, pancakes, fruit juices and other yummy items! Not only does she greet everyone (even those who just want a cup of coffee and are on the run) with a beautiful smile, but warmly says 'good morning!'. Rose walks around the breakfast area making sure everyone is served and has all that they need. She even engages guests of the hotel who aren't eating to have some fruit or other items on the bar. Rose represents Holiday Inn very well and should be commended for her professionalism and her great 'people' skills. You're fantastic, Rose!

It is a joy to travel and find lodging that is affordable, comfortable, quiet, and safe! It is, also, wonderful to wake up and know a great lady named Rose will be waiting on you to help you start your day off right with the delicious foods she has prepared for the breakfast bar. Holiday Inn Express in Lagrange, GA, is one of the best kept secrets and you won't be...

We booked this hotel fairly late in the evening (10 pm) on a Friday Night because the other hotels that were in the area we were at the time were booked. We drove a little more than an hour from where we were to get there, and while I wasn't expecting much, we ultimately were very satisfied.

The first thing I noticed was that the person working the front desk was in a T-Shirt. While I would normally think that this was not very professional, I see it in this instance that they were wanting people coming in the feel comfortable and relaxed. We were upgraded to a bigger room at no charge, and I was thanked for being a Gold Elite member. Considering we were arriving at 11:15 at night, I asked for a late check-out, which we were granted to 1 pm the next day (though we didn't use it).

The room far exceeded our expectations considering we were traveling with a 3 year old. We were able to let her sleep on the fold out couch, which we were able to enjoy a nice King Sized bed. Very comfortable. The one thing I would mention as being a slight concern is that all of the television channels were analog on the HDTV, which makes the picture look bad and stretched.

The next morning, I found the Manager downstairs wearing a T-Shirt as well, and I had a good conversation with her concerning an issue that I was working through with another Holiday Inn Express we stayed out on the road trip. We didn't enjoy the breakfast, but it did look like standard fare.

All and all, the room was just what we needed, and it was comfortable. With that being said, if my travels were to take me back through the area, there would be a strong chance I would stay...
