Here the week until Friday. Had do not disturb sign on door all week. On Thursday, the sign was moved. Walked in and can tell house keeping came in. Totally ignored the sign and took it off. Called front desk and was told since all my coworkers checked out, they decided to bypass the rules and go into my room. Had $5000 in cash in the room plus other electronic devices I didn’t want no one to see cause there worth a few dollars. The only reason I’m not calling the cops and filing a police report is the money and items were still there. I ask why would you disregard my privacy like that and they told me because all the others checked out so yea, sucks for you basically. Then I asked why didn’t you call to see if I had left. To check in they require your information. They apologized and basically left it at what you’re going to do. Last time ever here. The rooms were not bad. Rust in tubs and shower heads. Also, can tell house keeping does not fully clean toilet cause poop was running down it. I went and brought gloves and cleaned myself. The bad part is the hallways. They smell so strong of a bad smell. Don’t believe me. Check it out yourself. It’s not a Marriott or Hilton so you get what you get. Just know if you leave things or family members in your room they won’t be safe. I don’t feel safe here anymore. Pictures are clearly before I cleaned the room.
Quick Update:
I came back to the hotel after leaving something behind. Was then given a talk to by man at front desk. Was told that he is giving my item back but in doing so, could I retract my statements from the experience I had during my stay. He told me on behalf of him and the management that I’m no longer allowed at the hotel because I wrote a review that even though he didn’t like, was how I felt based off the situation. He told me going forward I’m a trespasser because I wrote the review and I’m no longer wanted. He and the staff also clearly admitted multiple times it was their mistake. He reiterated that again, a large group of workers from my company came to the hotel. He confirmed that not only did the group have a different check out date than I did, that yes it was possible that they could have called me and insisted if I was still fulfilling the entirety of my reservation which was on a later date than the group. He lastly confirmed after we exchanged words, that even though the do not disturb sign was up, it does not mean they can’t go in, they technically didn’t follow the appropriate procedures they would/or could have normally followed to correctly go about this situation. I don’t care about not being able to come back. I don’t feel safe enough to come back which is what I said in the first review, I WAS NOT COMING BACK. I DON’T FEEL SAFE HERE. To prove that I don’t feel safe, I’m told I can’t come back not because I broke any rules, but because your staff didn’t want to professionally deal with me and MY reservation. Since I’m a trespasser now I have to face legal actions because the hotel gives me an option to discuss my experience and since you handled it unprofessionally, you’re upset. No problem. Again never coming back. Future guests beware because it sounds like to me you’re not only not safe, but can be severely punished on crimes that you have not committed. I broke no rules. I broke no laws. Also next time you should have management included in the talks because I didn’t appreciate the way I was spoken to and the employee putting words in my mouth to make a point. No police report or restraining order to be clear. I’ve been to the best and the worst of hotels and never faced treatment like this. I’m saddened for Wyndham because I know how excellent of service you guys provide. This is by far the most unprofessional I’ve ever seen this brand. I pray no other customers have to experience...
Read moreMy stay was horrific!! I'd never stay there again!! I've worked for two Marriott properties, and a Wyndham property before, so I know a little bit about hotel etiquette. Being that I was staying by myself, and am a petite girl, I asked if I could please stay on any floor other than the 1st, and I'd preferrably like to have a room facing the front, which they were able to do, however, the phone in my room did not work, & they refused to replace it with one that did. The lady at the front said, "Then there will be another room w/o a phone & we'll have to place it "out of order." I said, "So?? Then place that room 'out of order." Being that my room phone did not work, it should've been placed "out of order" if the issue couldn't be resolved. Granted, some guests may not have cared about a room phone, but it was imperative for me, & when I suggested then I'll check out if you can't simply swap it for one that works, she goes on to tell me that b/c I checked in @ 3:50 pm, & it was already almost 5:00 pm, an hour since I checked in, I could not get my money back, so unfort l stayed. It then goes from bad to worse. I go back to my room & now the bathroom light does not work, the heating/air system was no longer working, and there was no wi-fi, to top it off!! This was @ 5:00 pm, the bad weather did not even begin until 4:30 am the next morning, so the weather played no part in the first 12 hours of my stay. I was told maintenance was already gone, so there was nothing they could do about it. When morning came, & I tried to resolve the matter with the front desk, & she said, "Sorry, that was mother nature & we can't control that." Absolutely they could not control mother nature, but the storm did not play any effect until 12 hours after I checked in. I had videos that I filmed showing the heating/air, bathroom light, & no wi-fi, from 6:00 pm and throughout the night (way before the first gust of wind, or 1st drop of rain.) I called several times after I checked out to try & talk to a manager about all the inconveniences I was dealt, but to no resolve. When you pay $100 for a room, my goodness, you at least expect heating/air, and you mean to tell me the front desk lady couldn't have put a "be right back" sign up front & came up to my room to change a light bulb??? Unacceptable! And you know what?? If they would have been kind, or even acted empathetic about everything, I may have been okay without any compensation, but they were incredibly rude and acted annoyed that I told them. Any kind of discount or compensation was out of the question, but you would think maybe an apology would have been the least they could do, but not even that! That place is atrocious and I will be posting the videos I filmed of everything not working from 5:30 pm through wee hours of the morn! I will be posting more reviews of my stay on all public forums, to prevent any future guest from having to go through the hell I...
Read moreWe arrived at the hotel shortly after 5 my sister had booked this room for us us as being my mother and I we did get a lower level as asked. But the front desk girl that check to settle second shift was not nice she was not knowledgeable I had called at one time from the room to ask if LaGrange had any buffets in town she said I don't know you just have to Google it. I also explain to her that I needed pull up paper and we needed some soap. When we checked in after we came back from dinner I was too late to change your room but I have posted a few pictures of the shower head needed to be cleaned I didn't know if I wanted to shower but I had to but I still had no way to clean the shower head. There was a long black hair on the back of the bathroom door, there was also something gross on the light switch to come a light on in the bathroom. Also the bottom of the toilet was nasty look like it hadn't been cleaned in a couple of days the mirror had spots all over it and smudges. I went to close the blinds are the curtains at that time I found peanuts and peanut shells and some other crumbs a food and whatever in the windowsill also on top of the air-conditioning itself. The stink look like it had not been cleaned as well I'm having little black hairs in the sink. Also the Chrome had a lot of spots on it look like it hasn't been cleaned well, went to go try to have some coffee and we had no coffee cups we can have coffee bags but the coffee maker when we opened it up was dirty. So we checked out the next morning breakfast was very good they had a great variety we did enjoy that. We also told the lady at the front desk to check out what we had found in the room that it was too late to switch rooms period she accommodated us by given us 10% off of our night stay period I will say the beds were cleaned I smelled fresh and they were very comfortable I would return back to this hotel and I would recommend this hotel. It's also a great location for anywhere you have to be in LaGrange it's on the main strip I believe to anywhere you want to go such as restaurant shopping the malls across the street so it's just...
