Heirloom Donuts - DRIVE THRU — Restaurant in LaGrange

I’ll preface this by saying I NEVER leave reviews, but my experience was so great that I felt obligated to brag on the young lady that was working this afternoon. My boyfriend and I just went in about 5 minutes ago and got coffee and a dozen donuts. I was a little anxious because it was my first time here, however, the young lady that was working (I fail to remember her name) was so kind and pleasant. I asked for a hot chai latte and she said yes of course, but looked a little skeptical and admitted that she was new and had not made a hot version of the chai latte yet. Which I appreciated her honesty, because I know how some people can be about their coffee if it isn’t perfect. I was completely fine with a cold one, but she insisted she at least try to make the hot one. Once it was ready, I tasted mine and OMG. It was so good. There was nothing for her to be worried about because it was perfect. She was so kind as she filled up our donut boxes, and checked us out. She said she had only been there about 2 weeks, so for her to be running the place by herself speaks volumes. I am a supervisor at my job and have been in the service industry for 8 years, so I know how difficult it is to find hard working, kind, considerate, and helpful people that take initiative in their work, which is exactly what she did. My wife and I have been here twice. The first time we Had a few donuts that were expensive and small. my wife enjoyed them but I didn't. My wife asked me a few weeks later to get her some donuts from here so I went back and ordered 4 Donuts. The strawberry donut that I got was fine. The chocolate cake donut with chocolate topping was so dry that swallowing was impossible. My wife's 2 donuts were just as dry as my chocolate was. My wife and I are donut lovers. we have eaten them all across the U.S. including Hawaii. This is on my list of the bottom five that i've ever eaten at (better off buying a box at the store). Every single donut that I have purchased from the LaGrange GA store has been perfection! I never knew that I would love a maple, bacon doughnut, but it has become one of my very favorite ones. The lemon doughnut, for the March special is exquisite and don’t even get me started on the sugar-free coffee choices, it’s so nice to be able to have more than just one sugar free choice to put in my coffee and also having the choice to put heavy cream just is icing on it 🙌🏻 Shout out to the baker who does such a great job and to Jd for the...
