Stayed here with my family due to power outages from recent storms and honestly okay location I guess. At first glance the rooms were fairly clean but both rooms we stayed in had spots of some kind of yucky oily build up on the head boards we had to get off. A good portion of the second room’s floor was soaked for some reason and the drawers on the dresser and bench would not stay closed without wedging paper or something in them. Waking up the first morning the hall was filled with the smell of weed so strong you could smell it from inside the room. In the first room we noticed an issue with the toilet soon after getting into the room. It wouldn’t flush and the tank wouldn’t fill either so we gave a call to the front desk and were told someone would be up the next day to take a look at it. No problem assuming they are going to send someone in the morning but we have 2 small children obviously with small bladders. You can imagine how fast that toilet is going to fill with 4 of us. Starts getting later into the day and still no one has came to check on the toilet. We give them a call again to ask about the toilet or at this point getting the rooms switched. We are told the maintenance man came up to check the toilet and said everything was fine which wasn’t true. We explained the only knock on the door we got that day was from housekeeping. She tries to convince us still that he came up and said it was fine so again we asked her to please send someone or switch our rooms. She says she’ll send someone up right away so we wait maybe another hour or 2 before calling again to check on the situation and are told the same thing. We decided to go out for dinner instead of waiting and maybe things will be fixed or we’d be getting a new room once back. Also forgot to mention our room keys stopped working so once back we go into the office to get those fixed and again check on the issue. We are told once again the maintenance man already came to check earlier in the day and said everything was fine. Which again was a lie because me and my two kids were in the room all day while my mom was at work and the only person who came to the room was housekeeping but at this point it was just ridiculous to keep going back and forth about this. I’m not sure why she just refused to believe us but we just wanted to sleep and have a working toilet at least for the last night and day spent here so she finally gave us a new room and fixed our keys so that we could get our stuff. Everything the next day was okay expect the sewage smell and being told we didn’t ask for an extended check out time when we did and was told it was okay. Craziest part was them trying to make me and my 2 kids sit outside in the cold to wait for my mom to finish at the doctor to pick us up when I said she’d only be 30 more minutes so honestly would not recommend. This is by far one of the worst hotels I have...
Read moreRun!!! Don't stay here! I cannot believe this is a Wyndham hotel. The first thing you notice when you enter the lobby is that it is actually a combination room. Half lobby, half breakfast area. Seriously? The next thing you notice is that although the photos of the pool area show a very inviting glass enclosed pool with a woodsy view... Reality is that the combo lobby / breakfast room directly overlooks the pool area via a glass wall. And across the pool the view out of that glass wall is parked cars. The pool water is so murky that it's difficult to see the bottom, but what you can see is that something's going on down there at the bottom of the pool. Ether large dark stains or accumulations of algae. Definitely nothing you would want to swim in. Their photos of the pool area are SO deceiving. They give the appearance of a nice glass enclosed pool area with a woodsy view. Definitely not the case. You're basically on view for anyone in the lobby, breakfast area or parking lot. Like a fish in a dirty tank. Then I got to my room. First thing I saw was three dried coffee rings on the desktop. If housekeeping didn't even wipe spilled coffee off of the desktop, how much effort could possibly have been made in cleaning the room? I could have asked to switch rooms but I had no faith that another room would be any cleaner, so it just seemed like a waste of time. In the morning I went down to the Continental breakfast a full hour before it was supposed to be over, but there was nothing to be had. Not a bagel, not a pastry. Just (literally) two slices of raisin bread. If you didn't want that, your options were a boiled egg, a carton of yogurt, sweet children's cereal. There wasn't even any kind of juice, only coffee or tea bags. And lastly, even the parking is a nightmare. The only parking is a single row of parking spaces up against the building that extends around the building. And that's it. When I got back to my room after dark tonight there was literally no parking on the side of the building that I was on. I did finally find a space on the other side of the building but in order to get to the closest door I had to cut across a landscaping area that isn't even meant to be walked on. Just horrific. Everything about this place. Literally the only good thing I can say about it is that there was very good water pressure in the shower and the bed was...
Read moreI am just disappointed and disgusted by Wyndham brand. Every year we go to the Wild Animal safari, we normally stay at Holiday Inn. I should have just continued with staying there. When you walk in, the place just smells of smoke. The floor is sticky, the very limited seats are sticky as well. The pool is literally in the front lobby. The floors are wet & slippery. The front lobby needs a huge make over. Not welcoming at all, looks run down. The front desk employee is extremely slow. She complained about literally EVERYTHING. Not friendly at all. She didn’t even explained where our room was, or that there was no elevator. She mentioned the breakfast, but just the hours. The breakfast and pool is a joke. The hallways smelled so bad of cigarette smoke and weed. We had to carry our luggage up the stairs. The rooms are okay. Beds are not comfortable. When you leave, there are guest smoking right by the exit door. The weed smell is so strong, it made my two sons sick to their stomach. But yet there is no smoking or vaping in the hotel. The pool was over crowded. My family was asked to leave due to some party going on. I could not sleep at all, I felt disgusted by the hotel. There was people just walking around outside and the hallways. I didn’t know if they were staying at the hotel or not. The next morning we go downstairs to breakfast, who was suppose to have a hot breakfast, who just had cereal and toast for breakfast. House keeping starter knocking on doors at 9am, and would not leave you alone until you left. We told them repeatedly, check out is at 11am. They kept coming back trying to enter the room while we were in the room. This was my last straw, I had enough. This is our second time staying at a Wyndham location. We are suppose to stay at a Wyndham beachfront location in Cocoa Beach, Florida in April 2024. I will be canceling that reservation, and after our stay with LaGrange, Wyndham brand will definitely be the last Wyndham brandnmy...
