I did stay at this hotel but I was not completely satisfied with my stay. The front desk attendant was very polite and helpful. The a/c worked nice and it looked to be clean upon first entrance. As I began to settle into the room I did notice some not so pleasant things about the room. The bathroom sink didn’t drain completely as if it were slightly clogged and took a while to drain. The bathtub had not been throughly rinsed after it was cleaned and left some residue, so it was slippery when I stepped in and almost lost my footing. Also, I was not completely excited about the foot/hand marked stains on the wall near the side of the bed I was resting on. The marks looked like they were smudges that may be missed by some when cleaning but in the light you could see them along the wall as if someone had been rubbing their feet or hands along the wall. I found a long black hair on top of the bed and a curly hair on a towel. I found a roach on the wall under the sink area the morning I left. The satellite tv went in and out on channels. The refrigerator was also not cooling and made noises during the night. All in all I viewed this as just a place to rest my head and forget about the experience bc I was soo exhausted from traveling. I do understand nothing or no one is perfect but I have stayed at other choice hotels and have not experienced anything like this at other locations with choice hotels. However, I have experienced that at other motels that I didn’t hold up to the standards that I do with choice hotels. That’s why I chose to become a choice privilege member to avoid those unsettling experiences that I did have at this location. I do enjoy my choice privileges and the clean nice hotels that I usually get and have come to appreciate and expect while staying in one. Repeated attempts were made to contact management after my stay there but no one answered the phone so I just stopped calling. After my experience at this hotel I will not book another stay at this...
Read moreDuring a recent road trip throughout the US we stayed at 6 different Comfort Inn locations. I would rate all of them a 10 except La Grange. |From the moment we walked in to reception to check in, to the breakfast attendant we experienced extremely rude service. When we entered the Breakfast room we could see that many items were empty in need of replenishment and the room was busy. The garbage cans were overflowing and folks were looking for food as most of the options were empty. With the door open to the kitchen, I could see a young lady leaning against the counter texting on her phone. When I offered to help her getting things filled up I could see food sitting in a pan ready to be placed in the chaffing dish, she said No she would do it. After waiting several minutes with her still texting I went back in and once again offered to help as the same pan was sitting on the counter and majority of the food was gone. |She yelled saying “I told you I would do it” then slammed the door to the kitchen. More minutes pass and she begrudgingly brings out food for the chaffing dishes that was far from warm that obviously had been sitting on the counter for some time. Then returns to the kitchen and once again slams the door. We all have bad days but this was extremely poor customer service. |The other 5 locations we enjoyed as the staff went above and beyond to ensure their patrons were treated in a pleasant manner. |This place was tired in need of upgrades and the staffs attitude made us regret not booking in one of many other lodging...
Read moreI have stayed at this hotel multiple times and even in the same room, 211. But:
During this 5 day stay, every night around 7:30 it sounded like a child or large dog was running back and forth directly above me for hours. I travel on business, and some nights I am up into the wee hours doing statistical analysis. On the nights that I can sleep, I like to go to be early and catch up. This running was so loud that the nights I was up working, even listening to music did not keep it from distracting me from my work. The nights I could have slept, this noise did not stop until around 10:00 PM. The last night I was there, I was at wits end and called the front desk about it. The noise quietened about 10 minutes later.
Two of the days I was there, housekeeping forgot to replenish the in-room coffee and cups. Did I mention that I often work into the wee hours?
The morning after my first night, I reported that the shower drain was very slow. That never changed over the course of five days.
I travel to this area often, and stay either at this hotel or the Quality Inn across the street, as both of them have previously had consistently clean rooms, dependable internet for my work, and a quiet environment for work and sleep. I chose a suite for this stay because I wanted a little extra space for a 5 day stay. I am not sure about my next stay...
