I couldn't wait to get the moment to sit down and write a review on Diamond International at Disney Springs.. a few days ago I wrote a review that wasn't so positive. Because of this experience I have learned how people including myself post review. Before I get into my amazing experience I like to point out my mistake. A lot of people run off emotions like I did when they are upset or something has angers them. We want the world to know what happened because we're mad. I was irritated because I was not getting an answer from Diamond International over 6 months I tried calling the 1-800 number not knowing at the time they had a local Diamond International here in Florida. so when I did find out 6 months after I called the local and their number was continuously busy. I did not recognize that it was the most busiest time of the Season, Christmas and there were going through a phone upgrade as well. I hardly ever do reviews unless it's something that made me mad shame on me. So that means often times most people leave reviews when they are upset so that's going to outweigh the more positive reviews and experiences I guess because we expect it to be a good experience so we don't leave a review but all reviews are necessary especially the positive ones.
My amazing experience at Diamond International after learning the manager Julius had put his personal number under my review for me to contact him because there is no other way for him to reach me, to me that already was a big step showing care and concern on a customer service level. When I called him. Me and my fiance were already at Disney Springs he met us and actually escorted us to the Diamond International store. Disney Springs is very big and can be very confusing so this was absolutely appreciated that simple gesture showed me that he cares for his customers. Everyone was so well put together very classy and the first thing he said to the staff was give them some sparkling water! I felt like VIP!!! Then he said we're not here to push prices or sales on you. we only want you to be happy and I'm going to make sure you happy! I told Julius my price range I wanted to stay at and he actually show me things that was under the price range I considered. Darren and Julius worked amazing together. I totally felt like a princess leaving Diamond International. Me and my fiance had already planned on starting a credit line to help build our credit even more and we were approved for a very high dollar amount and we were not pressured into a higher purchase. This may not mean much to some people. But little things things like that make you want to come back there's a level of trust. I probably wouldn't have left this review about my experience however I'm sure I would have told a few friends on but I like my experience but that would have been it. Now I'm going to leave a review anytime I am please from a little gesture to the biggest. I'm already completely know how to leave a review when I'm upset. Businesses are not getting the recognition that they should when they have gone above and beyond or even just making sure their customer had a nice experience I guess because we expect it but review should be left even with a small Mustard Seed of happiness of that company not just when you're upset. Julius went above and beyond to show customer appreciation and I see that he takes his reviews very serious. The few reviews I have left with other businesses there was no manager to reach out to me no care or concern on what I wrote or even took the initiative to right back to say how can I improve. so for Julius to go to the extreme to making sure we left Diamond International happy, speaks value!! Thanks Darren and Julius for having me open my eyes on how reviews and the portents of leaving a review on a personal experience is important. I'm sitting here now enjoying my free gifts. Oh yeah we free gifts just because we purchase a certain limit at the store!! How many stores give you amazing freebies how...

I bought a ring at Diamonds International when I took a cruise to the Islands. They guaranteed that if something became damaged, they would fix it with no cost and would pay for shipping etc. The ship I was on did extensive promotions and advertising, so I felt pretty safe.
Shortly after, I returned home I wore the ring when I was not going to use my hands like washing dishes and doing housework, etc. because I didn't want to damage it. About two weeks later I noticed a diamond chip was missing and the prong was broken. I knew it was strange because I wasn't wearing the ring that often and I was very delicate with it.
I tried to notify by calling 800 numbers on the paperwork. There were never anyone to answer and I became very frustrated. I decided when we returned on another cruise, I would just go back where I bought the ring which I did.
They told me they would do a trade and I would have to pay more for the upgrade. But the upgrade and trade wasn't suitable because the blue diamond was smaller and the ring was triple the price. I realized the values must have gone up. I also noticed they had no problem with it and were eager to do it since they would be making out on the deal. They get my bigger diamond, I get a smaller ring, not as pretty, and I have to pay triple what I paid for for the one I had, that only needed a diamond chip and a fixed prong.
So I left, and called an 800 number that the guy in the store gave me, that no one else did. So I thought I was on the right track. No one ever answered. I didn't have an extension so it didn't work.
So, I found this customer service person by going online on their website. Her name was Alejandra and she sent me a pdf contract that said they were not responsible for any cost for mailing, or insurance or loss or anything, but I would have to pay for all of it and would not give me a guarantee on that price.
The man who gave me the 800 number in the store said otherwise. They would pay for it all.
So, I said fine and the contract was the kind where you do it on the touch screen and you have to use your finger to do the signature and it comes out looking like chicken scratch. I have used it before when I made a purchase and remarked that it looked like chicken scratch and was told that's how it comes out. I was told it's like signing an x, so to speak. So I already knew about the oddity of it.
So Alejandra writes me back that they are outraged by by signature and ridiculed me putting me at a disadvantage. I said, but that's your document, not mine, and that's how they are. She said her corporate offices would not accept it.
This really was the nail in the coffin for me. I was already feeling like I was bending over backwards with this person who was giving me a hard time any way she could. She was obstructing my every effort and I knew it. I also, realized if I did send the ring, I would never probably see it again considering the treatment I was getting. I also feel that they never intended to accommodate my attempt to get my ring fixed based upon their promises when I purchased the ring.
Therefore before you consider doing business with these people, just take into account that once you walk out of there, they will disregard everything they...
Read moreRoughly 10 days after having the ring in my possession I noticed a small diamond was missing. To be honest, I never paid close enough attention to the small diamonds around the sides to see if they were all there when the ring was delivered. I started making phone calls. The number on my invoice went unanswered. The US Customer Service number asks for an extension - you don't even have the ability to speak with someone! You can leave a message I believe. After several days and attempts to reach someone at the store I was finally successful. They were going to take care of the ring for me! They would send me a label and we could get this issue resolved. Here's where the issue arises. I get my return label via FedEx. I don't have a FedEx location local to me, I figured why can't I just send the package USPS with the address that was on the return label? So thats what I did. Well as I was told from the "returns manager" at the store, "if the delivery driver for USPS doesn't recognize the name that the package is addressed to, they will not deliver it. They only accept packages from FedEx, UPS, etc. THIS WAS NOT DISCLOSED TO ME before I mailed the package down for repair. I would have made the drive to find a FedEx location had I known this!! Fast forward to today, I mailed the package out on 11/22/17. It was "refused by sender" on 11/30/17. No one knows where my package is. Post Office says it was returned to sender (I don't have it), store says they never received it (they probably didn't because of the lack of communication with their customer!) So now I am in the process of filing a claim with the post office to try and locate my item. If I am able to recover it I will just eat the missing diamond and put my pretty piece of jewelry in the box - I'm not dealing with sending something across the country again for repair by a business who can not communicate with their customers. It just isn't worth the headache. They are probably a great jewelry store option for locals of Florida but I doubt if I would recommend them to any of my friends living or traveling in the Orlando area.
Update March 2018: Julius from the store contacted me and went above and beyond to make sure we found the package (which we did!), and stayed in constant contact with me while my ring was being repaired at no cost to me! I don't normally leave reviews but I am so glad I did for LoT by DI! I am so happy with the product I have now and all because Julius made me feel heard,...
