JCPenney is a department store that has been around for over 100 years, and while it has its strengths, my recent experience left something to be desired.
The store had a decent selection of clothing, shoes, and household items, but the overall layout felt cluttered and disorganized. The racks were packed so tightly that it was difficult to navigate through the store, and it made it hard to find what I was looking for.
The staff was not particularly friendly or helpful. I had trouble finding an item I was looking for, and when I asked a sales associate for assistance, they seemed disinterested and unhelpful. I ended up having to search for the item myself and eventually found it hidden behind a stack of other merchandise.
The checkout process was slow, and the cashiers seemed uninterested in providing good customer service. There was a long line, and it took a while for my turn to come up. When it was finally my turn, the cashier did not seem particularly friendly or engaged, and she made no effort to engage me in conversation or make the checkout process smoother.
Overall, my experience at JCPenney was mediocre at best. While the store had a decent selection of products, the cluttered and disorganized layout, unhelpful staff, and slow checkout process left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. While I may return to JCPenney in the future if I am in need of a specific item, it is not a store that I would go out of my way...

This JCPenney seems to have gotten their hands on the K-Mart secrets to success playbook. #1- Have your employees hide from customers, the store can run itself. #2- have multiple customer service kiosks from customers to make purchases, but never have any cashiers there. Customers are bored and enjoy walking around and looking for someone to pay for their purchases. #3- There is no need to clean the floor, the customers aren't buying the carpet, it's just for them to walk on. #4- Don't restock clothing displays, the limited clothing selection will drive customers into a frenzy and they will buy the remaining clothes on the shelves dispite them being the wrong size. #5- Due to the store running it's self and the limited duties required of employees, never have more than 3 working at any given time, this makes you look like your an efficient business and customers love waiting in lines at the register. #6- Put up sale prices on all clothing displays and in small writing put the specific clothes that are on sale, which are not even on the display. Customers love to be surprised at the register and prefer paying regular price over a sale price. #7- Online shopping will never take off, so customers have to shop at...
Read moreThis is not JC Penney anymore. It's a great secondhand and resale store in the Lakeland Square Mall called Resale America. The store is really big. They have tons of DVDs, collectibles, furniture, hardware and more. This store is almost like a mall within the mall! It is on the backside of the mall and you may find large items to buy, so here is my recommendation: drive to the back around the right side and park near an entrance. If you want to visit any of the stores on that end of the mall, walk through and hit them up first, then come back through to shop here. When you're done, drive around and park near the food court if you want to visit the other end of the mall. Parking can be crowded on that side, but there are a lot of good stores closer to that end like Spencer's and Hot Topic and Claire's so it's worth a visit. Down the other wing of the mall there are even some really cool places like an Escape Room and Game Attic (that place is incredible) and some kind of adventure play zone that might be fun if you have kids. The whole mall is definitely worth a visit for Resale America alone, but you can definitely make a day out of it alone. Besides, the mall is by an antique mall and a shopping center across the road and there are plenty of good places to eat in and near the mall so you could easily enjoy a whole day...
