Michaels — Local services in Lakeland

I have had three (3) custom framed pictures made Jaynee and the custom framing staff at the Michaels store (#1577) in North Lakeland. Jaynee is the supervisor for the custom framing staff at this location. Jaynee has been the best to deal for my custom shadow boxes to honor my father and to memorialize my law enforcement/military career .

The quality of these custom shadow boxes were nothing less than exceptional. They were so well prepared by Jaynee that the pick-up experience was very emotional for me and my family. My brother completely broke down in tears, sobbing as he held his shadow box to his chest.

My wife and I thank Jaynee with all of our hearts for the way that she treated us and took such care to professionally prepare, display and assemble these custom shadow boxes for my family.

It was smaller than Hobby Lobby, but if you tend to get overwhelmed by too many options, or need to get in and out, it’s “just right” as Goldilocks would say. They had smaller sections, such as jewelry art and t-shirt dying, puzzles area and paints; and the sections in the middle (basket bins of skin- toned clays, plastic and “silk” greenery) could have used some “filling,” as some of the baskets with offerings had none, but I liked their baby shower section a bit more- seemed to have more games and decorations. And the music is definitely vintage rock, which I like. So, according to what you need, this might be a good option. The store is clean and the employee's are helpful and knowledgeable. My issue with this particular store though has to do with online curbside pickup orders. They advertise online and on television that any orders placed before four pm will be available for pickup the same day. I have placed at least three orders now utilizing this method. On two of those occasions,my orders weren't ready for pickup for days . Even after a couple calls and an in person trip to the store. More recently I placed an order at around 11 am. and received a text a 8 pm. that it was ready. This order had one item in it. A...
