I am trying to help refugees and others to document their amazing stories. There is no place as inviting or accommodating! They let me reserve classrooms and the sound studio. They help me if I need help and with no questions of our religion. When my refugee kids wanted a pedigree chart to take home I was pulling out my purse to pay for it and they just gave them to the kids, who were giddy with excitement. They also offer help to digitize slides, photos and tape recordings (video and audio). Amazing staff! They are in the beginnings of updating the decor and place to include a play place for kids so they can help caregivers of children. The new directors are GREAT! I've enjoyed each and every visit because the staff is so friendly and helpful in showing you around your tree so you will feel truly comfortable that your entries end up in the proper place. Building your Family Tree is not an easy task, but seems to be never-ending. This is also the only library that provides the equipment to scan old pictures and transfer old movies unto sticks.
