Describe my experience??? It was incredible from the moment I walked in the door with my wife to-be. If you have been to Downtown Vegas for an event, or even just traveling, you will understand how busy this place gets, and how rooms get eaten up faster than a plate of grandma's cookies. After arriving in Vegas for EDC, being denied our booking at our hostel, and having tried just about every hostel, hotel, & motel in the Downtown area, my lady and I were just about ready to give up hope... until we came across the Villa Inn Motel by absolute chance.
Let me tell you how much of a godsend this place was, not only to accommodate us with no reservation, but to usher us in with a warm and friendly welcome. Every other hotel/motel within the Downtown area would turn you away as soon as your hand touched the doorknob of the seemingly reoccurring glass doors, with either a dirty look or a shake of the head, but not here. The gentleman that was running the Inn, Alex, was there with a smile as soon as the door chimed -bling- and we walked in with our overpacked bags and weary hearts. He immediately saw that we were having a rough night, and did his absolute best to make us smile, making genuine conversation, and cracking jokes, soothing our woes with good vibes; the exact cure for every down-in-the-dumps raver. It didn't take long to rejuvenate us, we were ready to party, and Alex was ready to hook us up with a room.
The process was super simple, we told the man how long we needed to stay, and he gave us THE BEST PRICE IN ALL OF DOWNTOWN VEGAS. No joke, this place was the most affordable place out of maybe 30 someodd hostels, hotels, and motels we tried; just about everywhere was full, and everyewhere else wanted to bend you over and take you to brown-town, but not here. The PLUR friendly Villa Inn was modest and affordable, exactly what we were in need of at the last minute, having lost our deposit on the rooms we had initially booked. Once we paid, Alex gave us the keys to the room, a remote for the tv, and the wifi password. I'm not going to lie, before I walked in and met Alex, I thought this was going to be a flop, mainly because I was tired, and agitated with our current situation at the time, but I cannot stress how incredible my experience was. Enough with the super long story, lets get to the nitty-gritty details that you are probably all looking for when you read my review.
The Villa Inn is all but your average motel. This place is SUPER FX%K-nG CLEAN, and I mean super clean. As soon as we walked into our room, which was located on the upper level with a view of one of Downtown's most busiest streets, we were hit with a blast of fresh air. What?! Fresh Air inside of a motel room??? It doesn't smell like old secks and sweaty bawls? Damn right it didn't. This place does not play when it comes to cleanliness. There was fresh linen on the king size bed, multiple fluffy pillows, a dope HD Smart TV with a ton of channels, strong wifi service, and a kickin AC. We were in heaven! It seemed almost too good to be true. What was the catch??? ... Absolutely nothing! We did a pre "don't put your bags down, we don't want bugs in our shet" type of check, and there was absolutely none to be found, even after a weeks worth of breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and post rave munchies; we even stopped being paranoid about it after the first night, waking up without any bites or scales that we have both experienced and read about from other rent-a-room type of places. None of that here, only goodness.
The icing on the cake was meeting Alex's mom and the owner of the Villa Inn Motel, Lydia, who was an absolute sweetheart. We met her the day after we checked in, and immediately we saw where Alex got all of his people friendly nuances and abilities. We have never felt more welcomed and been treated like family before by absolute strangers in our entire lives. When she found out we were getting married, she gave us her love and a momhug, solidifying her blessing. She was too dope like her son. We can't wait to go back and see...
Read moreLolz, I had to stay here last second due to an emergency but I wouldn't reccomend this place unless you're looking to make some "alternative" friends..
The front office smells weird and the rooms are much better. I honestly slept on all of my old clothes to prevent my body from touching the bed & I wouldn't be too surprised if they took the bed still being made as an excuse not to wash it and make it again.
During my checkout in the small front I was approached by another guest who I guess was trying to make small talk unless he compliment my phone and said that there would be a "steal" coming up, whatever that means..
While I was waiting on my lyft, this same fellow then approaches me and asks if I smoke "cris"... I was very confused at first but then it hit me what he was asking and I promptly said I was straight.
Sorry for the 1 star but I honestly can't rate it any...
Read moreI am writing a review because I paid for my best friend who is a army vet to stay here because of what I heard of the great reviews and she called me today saying the Asian lady kicked her out accusing her of lots of traffic and being loud when she was asleep the whole time . I know because I called her all day and night and she was passed out I was supposed to meet her for dinner . She has cancer and she doesn't know anyone . For anyone to accuse of her being loud and having too much foot traffic is crazy . If you wanted to rent the room to someone else why make up stories. But I guess other guest who actually live there and stay monthly said she does this all the time so to all my followers on social media please avoid this place because they discriminate and mistreat you . Nice place but horrible...
