Leaving a 3 star review because nobody reads the 5 star reviews. My kids would definitely give this show 5 stars but they also don't know how much the tickets cost or what was expected for that cost. I have received numerous tickets from Vettix over the years and this show was the biggest rippoff. The real magic is that Losander was able to steal everyone's money. Sure the tickets were only $17 through Vettix and I always buy drinks and food from the venues that give away free tickets to Veterans because that's why they give away the tickets. This venue has a rule where you must pay $10 for a can of soda and old popcorn. I would have no issues with that except most of the choices were Diet and they didn't give a cuonof ice or anything. I asked for a bottle of water and it wasn't sealed and it was filled to the very top. I felt as if it was refilled and it tasted off. The show was supposed to last for approximately 1 hour and 5 minutes but that is absolutely false advertising. The doors are open 30 minutes before a 35 minute show. The 4 of us spent only $57 for our tickets and can if soda and popcorn which is less than $15 per person. This is a terrible deal for a 35 minute up close magic show that involves the audience but it was presented as an hour and 5 minute show. Sure I would gladly pay $15 per person to attend a 30 minute show but Losander did a great job of making us feel like we didn't get what we paid for. Parking was supposed to be behind the building, butvthere were already 3 cars parked in the lot and there was no more room to safely park. We parked down the block and around the corner and walked through some sketchiness. There was a homeless person sleeping in a pile of cardboard right outside the venue door who got upset when I threw trash in a bucket that appeared to be the venues trash can. I did enjoy parts of the show but it was often unclear when each trick was over unless Losander bowed and said Thank you. Then we realized it was time to clap. It was very awkward. Overall, inwould never come back again, but I would recommend this show to anyone with kids who aren't very familiar with magic. The best part of the show was his floating table trick which actually was amazing. We saw Murray Sawchuck the night before at the Strat and it was a much much better experience that what we had at Masters of Magic which I felt was not masterful at all. Pic posted of Murray because I didn't ask for one from Losander because I was afraid he was going to...
Read moreThank you so much for sharing your hospitality, kindness, and of course talent with us, Losander! This was such a unique experience and a welcome change from the crowded hustle and bustle of the Vegas scene.
Some of the tricks were classics while others were more unique. My husband is actually a magic enthusiast so we already had an idea of how some of the classics were done. However, if you know about the art of illusion, then you know not everybody can perform them well. It takes a talented showman to deliver this kind of experience so seamlessly and effortlessly , especially in such an intimate, small venue where you don’t have the luxury of endless rows of people ahead of you, blinding lights, show girls, or loud music to distract the audience from the illusions themselves. For any of the tricks we didn’t know how to explain, my daughter lovingly joked that Losander must just be a witch of some sort 🤣.
As a bonus, I think everyone who wanted to participate as a volunteer was able to m, including my whole family who have never had the opportunity before so that was priceless.
For many military families, an experience like this would only really happen if you saved a ton for the behind the scenes meet and greet or if you just so happened to know someone in the biz. We do not fall in either of those categories so this experience was very special for us.
I will say that the show itself chronologically was only 35min or so but it was very condensed as there was not a lot of “filler” in between tricks and he did not draw the tricks out longer than they needed to be. If you’re watching the clock, I can see how some people may not receive it well, but for such a unique opportunity I felt it was reasonable. He also mingled and was happily available for photos and to chat with the audience who...
Read moreAfter researching this, I'm sooo glad I booked a Thursday night show, and took my wife and 9 year old son to this entertaining event away from the strip. We were suprised with front row seats. The family loved the star of the event Luna, her smoothly executed magic, her vibrant personality, and her jubilant love of the craft. We also enjoyed hearing Luna tell the mysterious story of her magical family background. Her son Adam is also a magician, and before the show he very kindly invited all the guests into the theater offering us popcorn and drinks 'unrushed' although he would soon be on stage. Luna and Adam are such great people and magicians! This venue is tucked away in a nice quaint art district away from the strip (but not too far). The show is great for anyone, including families, or couples seeking a date night away from the chaos around the strip. We took a Lyft there from Mandalay Bay, and I was provided with great directions by the theater which helped us direct our driver. My wife likes to solve puzzles and the well executed magic kept her intrigued and immersed in the show. When other reviews say the venue is intimate, it is truly very upclose and feels very personal, you will not be lost in the crowd. I was invited on stage and I was able to touch and inspect visually items used in the magic act. My wife and son also had the chance to interact with the magic and all of us could not decipher how the illusion/magic occured. My son who loves magic and Harry Potter was mezmerized and thoroughly satisfied with the night. This show combined with a visit to Meow Wolf the night before were great for my inquisitive family who love physical, visual, and mentally immmersive shows to peak...
