The pawn shop was great, but the scam that they are pushing on their customers is indefensible, and warrants a 1-star review. If you're a fan of the show, check out the store, but steer clear of the little pavilion of shops next to it. It’s the one that has Rick's BBQ joint. Again, this wouldn’t even be that big an issue, but the scam company seems legit at first, because the employees who work at the Gold and Silver pawn shop specifically directed me to get “free” tickets at this store, which is located on the second floor of that pavilion. The employee even acted as my personal guide. and walked me all the way to this shop. At the time, I had no reason to assume this was a scam, this is the Gold and Silver pawn shop from the hit TV show, why would they try to scam their customers?
The company that has affiliated itself with Pawn Stars is called Sharelife Vacations, and I urge you to look them up because they are a scam, and hundreds of testimonials will corroborate my story. To keep things short, they rope you in with free tickets which aren't even free, because on the ticket they sell you it has in the fine print that you must purchase a drink. Next, they offer decent discounts on a small assortment of shows and exhibits, but there’s a catch, you have to watch a short “15 minute” video. The sales representative swore up and down that this isn't like those timeshare companies that try to sell you stuff, the video was simply a tool to let their customers know how great of a deal they were going to get. Along with the discounted tickets, they offered me a multitude of free gifts with my purchase. If your scam alarm isn’t blaring at peak volume, then allow me to explain what happens next.
After driving 15 minutes to the building where they make you give them all your personal info, you watch the 15 minute video followed by talking to sales rep after sales rep while they try and convince you to purchase a membership to a website that makes you money, but only if you convince your friends to join and use their service as well. Did I mention a lifetime membership for this website costs up to $2,000 dollars? This is an obvious sudo-pyramid scheme. To seal the deal, I never received the multitude of “free” items I was to receive. The sales rep I originally talked to was very kind, but said there was nothing he could do to get those “free” gifts.
The company is a scam that’s for sure, but let me reiterate, the part that’s despicable is that the employees of the Gold and Silver pawn shop are directing me, and other customers who visit their store, to this company. Doing this gives this scam company an aura of authenticity, which is something a company as predatory as this should never have. To all potential guests of this store, I urge you to become aware of what this company is, and visit the store with this knowledge to avoid them. Enjoy the pawn shop, but stay away from...

The Gold & Silver Pawn Shop, famous for its appearance on the TV show Pawn Stars, is a popular tourist destination in Las Vegas. Situated just off the Strip, this family-run pawn shop offers visitors the chance to browse unique, historic, and often rare items.
Atmosphere:
The shop itself is smaller than you might expect based on the TV show, but it's filled with interesting artifacts, collectibles, and memorabilia. The store has a museum-like feel with some truly fascinating pieces on display, from vintage toys and rare coins to classic cars and historical documents. However, it can get crowded, especially with fans hoping to catch a glimpse of the cast members like Rick Harrison or Chumlee. While seeing them is rare, there’s always a buzz of excitement in the shop.
Customer Service:
Customer service can be hit or miss. The staff is generally friendly and helpful, though during busy times, it can feel rushed, and you might not get much personalized attention. Many people are there for the experience more than actual pawn transactions, so those looking for a serious pawn experience may feel a bit overshadowed by tourists.
Inventory & Pricing:
The inventory is diverse, ranging from small trinkets to high-end collectibles. Prices tend to be on the higher side, likely due to the shop's fame. Bargaining is part of the pawn experience, but the notoriety of the shop means that discounts aren’t always easy to come by. It’s worth noting that some items from the show are specifically marked as "featured on Pawn Stars," which adds to their value. If you're a fan of history or pop culture, it's a fun place to browse, but casual visitors may find some of the prices too steep.
Overall Experience:
For fans of the show, visiting the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop is a must when in Las Vegas. It offers a unique blend of reality TV, history, and Las Vegas culture. Even if you're not a fan of Pawn Stars, the variety of items makes for an interesting visit. However, if you're expecting a quiet, traditional pawn shop experience, you might be overwhelmed by the crowds and tourist-centric atmosphere. It's more of a tourist attraction than a functional pawn shop in the typical sense, but it still offers a glimpse into the world of pawning and collectibles.
In short, the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop is worth a visit if you’re in Vegas, especially if you're a fan of the show. Just keep in mind that it caters more to tourists than serious...
Read moreDo not purchase anything from their online sales. Jeff with their online orders is absolutely horrible at customer service and just scammed me out of roughly $800 when he sold the item I purchased.
In February of this year, I purchased three items through their website through affirm. One item was delivered, another was immediately refunded because they sold it already. The final item was Budweiser Clydesdales sign. Apparently, I missed the fine print as they wanted local pickup, however, Jeff stated he could ship it if I paid for shipping. I stated I would pay for shipping just get me a price. A few weeks passed by and I didn’t get any information on shipping cost so I called the online ordering. The lady that answered assured me they would contact me as soon as they found out a cost. Another few weeks passed by so I called again. This time I asked for Jeff. Jeff called me back and assured me he could get it shipped. I told him I have a few friends that are locals that could pick it up but he assured me, it would be shipped. As the weeks continued to pass by, I kept calling and got the standard “ we will call you back” but no one ever did. It wasn’t until I finally showed up in Vegas that Jeff then tells me there was a inventory “issue” and the product was no longer available but I could have the Budweiser sign in the below photos.
I’m pretty angry at that point because it’s now July and this has been going on since February. I declined his offer and asked for my money back for the item I didn’t receive. ( see photos)
Jeff agreed and here we are in August, and I have no refund. I no longer support this shop and will be letting everyone I know how I was scammed out of $800. I have checked with affirm, no credits have been issued from gold and silver pawn.
At this point, after consultation from my attorney, a civil suit will be filed and I’ll be seeking a tremendously higher amount than the original cost. It’s a shame, a “world famous” pawn shop resorts to scamming money from people. Buyer beware, don’t purchase from...
