I was asked before to write a review on this luxury living community. I wanted to wait until I spent a little more time here to see if everything was really what it seemed. I will keep my review, short, sweet, and simple. For starters, the management so far has been nice, respectful, and quick to act on issues. The maintenance personnel seem to be very nice and respectful as well.
I understand that the community is still under construction. Now as of November, majority of the amenities are up and running. At this time the pool is still not open for swimming. Everything regarding the amenities at this point are quick fixes that I am quite confident that the management will get done before the new year.
Understand that, even though itās a new community, everything is not going to be perfect. Since Iāve lived here, Iāve had several issues. Maintenance entering my unit without notice or permission, because they entered the wrong unit. Due to a leasing manager not confirming unit number with occupants name before enter a maintenance order that was placed over the phone. Unit door was not properly sealed, and bolt-lock wasnāt placed properly in the door. My shower was not built properly, so the water would run out into the bathroom itself, and on my mats. And a couple other things. I would like to note that with proper communication, these issues were resolved. But the fact that this is a new community, and it already has so many issues, is upsetting.
My most recent issue is what drove me to write this review. After a āroutineā inspection on the AC unit, the temperature was set to 20° lower than usual., Which left my air to be running for two full days at that temperature. And the only thing that could be said was that they apologize. Apologies are necessary, but understand that apologies donāt help the individual who has to deal with the effects or consequences of another personās actions.
They donāt state the reasons why certain things are done, and thatās why you have to communicate with other residents to see whatās truly going on in this community. So I know the true reason why they had to do this inspection for the AC because more than one resident is having a particular issue. Which it looks like they have been trying to deal with over the last couple of days.
This review is not here to deter you from choosing this property. This is nothing but the share of information. Note that just because itās new, it will not be perfect. Know that you will have to deal with certain issues on your own with your own money. Other issues the property will handle. And over the next couple of months I would hope that they can work on a lot of the kinks, to allow the community to truly live up the standards of...

I appreciate a staff that follows up on their resident's concerns and the community does have amazing perks such as their weekly discounts to different restaurants and the comfort of being an inside facility with cameras and locked doors for entry. I also appreciate that they allow residents to obtain ring doorbell cameras for the comfort of safety while being wherever during the day. Hopefully as the community continues to grow, so does their ability to ensure the happiness of all their residents.
I have been living here since the community has opened and I can say it is nice, clean, and has a nice staff. However, I do not wish this community on anyone. I do not smoke but there has been numerous of emails sent out to residents asking for someone to come forward If they see another resident smoking, as if they do not pay rent to live here they can do as they please (my opinion). The parking is a huge issue of mine, I misplaced my car's registration which delayed me of getting a parking decal although I pay $1900 in rent each month I was told I would have to park outside the gate until my registration came in the mail. I had to practically beg for a temporary decal because I am not walking at night from behind restaurants with my 2yo son to get into a building I pay for monthly. A resident or guest is going to get seriously injured with the guest parking being located outside of the gate of the actual community. When mentioned to the assistant manager, he confirmed that they cannot protect anyone on their own property which I believed to be insane since they have a gated community and guest have to park outside the gate in alleys behind old restaurants. If I had the ability to sign off of my lease, I would leave. The community's guidelines do not reflect that they want people to feel like home in their own homes. Your patio has to follow their rules which are outrageous. Maintenance apparently conducted a "routine" check which I believe was just to spy into people's apartments because they did not fix the very clear things that needed attending too. My refrigerator has been signaling about a filter change since before the routine check and has not been fixed. I would rather the community focus on their resident's actual safety, wants and needs than the "business" side of what makes them look good for people to continue signing lease's and end up...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve lived here since January and unfortunately I am rarely satisfied with this place. Iāve had mainly good experiences with the people who work here so itās not the leasing team I have complaints with. 1.Within the first month of living here we experienced a leak and potential mold that the maintenance team could not solve and so they told us we have to move units. Westgate paid for our movers but refused to compensate us for any part of our rent. As most people know moving is a pain in the a** and we had to take off time from work to get this done. We then experienced ANOTHER leak in the new unit so itās been a journey. 2.The complex absolutely reeks of weed wherever you go⦠staircases, elevators, hallways⦠even inside of my unit smells of it due to the neighbors. The lovely smell of the main office is not what youāll get while living here. Westgate includes a 50 dollar trash fee to pay someone to take our trash bag a few feet down the hall to the trash chute. Even though Iād much rather save the money and take the trash the fee is mandatory. This being said , the trash guy has MAYBE taken our trash 15- 20 times in my 9 months of living here. Other than that the trash is left by my door and the job incomplete. My elevator has been on and off broken for at least two months and we are not updated on it frequently enough. The advertisement of a gated community is straight up a lie at this point. The external gates have worked for maybe 10 days all together which is laughable. The doors to the buildings themselves are constantly broken and wide open allowing anyone to come up the elevator. Although the apartment units look pretty, theyāre put together rather cheaply. Whoever assembled my unit was lazy ash because my ac thermostat and my light switches are all crooked on the walls. The floor boards (or whatever u call the piece in between the floor and the cabinet) are not held strongly in place and fall down at times.
To reiterate the people who work at the leasing office are super kind and this review is not meant to reflect them at all.. just wanted to share my review so people donāt waste their money...
