I’ve been living here about 3 months now that given said the apartments are spacious, new, and really nice. This gated community needs a lot of improvement, it’s suppose to be ā€œa gated communityā€. Despite being advertised as a gated community, the gates have remained open, allowing outsiders to freely access our amenities. I’ve seen people not from this community use our amenities; such as the pool and once they are done they drive off. Additionally, There’s a gap in the front door of every apartment, which makes you hear everything in the hallway. It’s bothersome everyday there’s a persistent dog barking starting at 6am and persists until the dog is taken out or finally falls asleep, it's a constant disturbance around the clock. Obviously it’s not the complex fault but had complained about it before. They even recently had an issue with that neighbor where cops were involved. Now as of today I did hear a shooting. It was just one pop! A lady walking to the kids park with 2 kids had to run a different direction while the other guy that was there, ran the other way as well. Highlighting the need for enhanced security measures. As a family oriented community, it's crucial to prioritize safety and ensure a peaceful environment for residents. The area this complex is in; is still a working progress so there should definitely be more security to keep us safe. On the weekends by the pool it does get disorderly rowdy it’s mostly when no one is at the office, but it should be kept under control at all times to ensure a respectful and tranquil environment, is important for everyone's enjoyment. Implementing measures to manage noise levels and maintain a peaceful atmosphere. From what I've observed, these apartments are aesthetically pleasing, but their long-term success hinges on consistent upkeep, maintenance, and security measures. Without these essential elements, the potential for this complex I see it going downhill. Addressing these issues promptly and implementing stricter security protocols would greatly enhance the overall living experience in this otherwise attractive complex.

Before my family moved in, there was an issue. Scheduled move in date moved back because my brother went in to view an apartment on the 5th floor, the day came to pick up the key and he got a key for a 3rd floor unit. So a week had to pass for them to move in the original apartment on the 5th floor. One time I picked up my family for an outting, the house was empty, came back and found a toilet full of poop. The gates barely worked a full month during 2024. THEE ENTIRE YEAR!!! The complex app at one point allowed folks to reserve a grille and now you can’t. Regardless of all this, my family still decided to renew their lease. Just this month for whatever reason my mom’s payment failed, she contacted the bank and they said there was no attempt by Westgate or Westdale. She tried calling the leasing office with the bank on the phone to fix the issue but the leasing office refused to speak with the bank on the line. My mom had to pay a return check fee and the property manager waived the late fee, but now my family can’t make their free online payment. They now must be inconvenienced by a $4 fee to pay at CVS or whatever fee PNC charges for cashier checks/money orders. Also mind you, CVS says they can only take payments up to $2,999. The rent is $3120, not including renters insurance and utility bill. This is going to be hard year left with this complex. They said the gates would be open from 6a to 6p for deliveries and what not, now their closed. My brother attempted to reach Westdale and has yet to hear back from them. The leasing office claims they can’t do anything about not being able to do online payments. Granted there was 1 time my mom had a returned payment because an unexpected bill touched her account, but she paid that with no complaints. Find somewhere else to stay. $3,120 for a 3bedroom is too much to pay a month when you aren’t getting what you are paying for.

If I could give this place negative stars I would. Let’s start with the fact they lie about the free month of rent when you sign a lease. Security deposit is double your rent on top of first months rent with long lease terms (min is 14 months) Buildings are extremely noisy and covered in bugs. Front doors have large gaps. Water piles up in the hallways which is a safety hazard. Trash is left in hallways, and they removed the trash cans (don’t know where they expect people to dispose of waste), people let animals pee in hallways without cleaning it up. ALL GATES ARE BROKEN CONSTANTLY allowing non residents to enter parking areas and building, yet they advertise as a safe gated community. Elevators are constantly down and DISGUSTING. Leasing staff is extremely rude, Jaqueline was the only respectful worker when she was here. They make you wear wrist bands to the pool as if you’re a child at an amusement park and the hot tub is disgusting. They will boot your car for no reason. Apartments are tiny and cheaply made, brand new washing machine didn’t work, outlets don’t work in the kitchen, but they advertise this place as ā€œluxuryā€. Amazon packages thrown everywhere and not placed on secure lockers meaning anyone can take your package. Mold inside of ā€œbrand newā€ units but they deny that too even with proof of pictures. Dont bother filing a complaint it won’t get taken care of on top of the fact they never answer their phones and rarely reply to emails. If you want to break your lease they require a 60 day notice and $4500 on top of two months rent equaling almost 10k ($9500). They charge residents for parking (they do not provide at least one space per unit) and guests for parking as well. No noise rules around here. They take away the amenities in the community room and you have to sign them out like a child. Don’t waste your money living here, you will deeply regret it.

I was asked before to write a review on this luxury living community. I wanted to wait until I spent a little more time here to see if everything was really what it seemed. I will keep my review, short, sweet, and simple. For starters, the management so far has been nice, respectful, and quick to act on issues. The maintenance personnel seem to be very nice and respectful as well.

I understand that the community is still under construction. Now as of November, majority of the amenities are up and running. At this time the pool is still not open for swimming. Everything regarding the amenities at this point are quick fixes that I am quite confident that the management will get done before the new year.

Understand that, even though it’s a new community, everything is not going to be perfect. Since I’ve lived here, I’ve had several issues. Maintenance entering my unit without notice or permission, because they entered the wrong unit. Due to a leasing manager not confirming unit number with occupants name before enter a maintenance order that was placed over the phone. Unit door was not properly sealed, and bolt-lock wasn’t placed properly in the door. My shower was not built properly, so the water would run out into the bathroom itself, and on my mats. And a couple other things. I would like to note that with proper communication, these issues were resolved. But the fact that this is a new community, and it already has so many issues, is upsetting.

My most recent issue is what drove me to write this review. After a ā€œroutineā€ inspection on the AC unit, the temperature was set to 20° lower than usual., Which left my air to be running for two full days at that temperature. And the only thing that could be said was that they apologize. Apologies are necessary, but understand that apologies don’t help the individual who has to deal with the effects or consequences of another person’s actions.

They don’t state the reasons why certain things are done, and that’s why you have to communicate with other residents to see what’s truly going on in this community. So I know the true reason why they had to do this inspection for the AC because more than one resident is having a particular issue. Which it looks like they have been trying to deal with over the last couple of days.

This review is not here to deter you from choosing this property. This is nothing but the share of information. Note that just because it’s new, it will not be perfect. Know that you will have to deal with certain issues on your own with your own money. Other issues the property will handle. And over the next couple of months I would hope that they can work on a lot of the kinks, to allow the community to truly live up the standards of...

UPDATE: I spoke with the manager of the community which clarified that the safety issue is upon the city's request and not the guidelines of the Westgate family themselves. I appreciate a staff that follows up on their resident's concerns and the community does have amazing perks such as their weekly discounts to different restaurants and the comfort of being an inside facility with cameras and locked doors for entry. I also appreciate that they allow residents to obtain ring doorbell cameras for the comfort of safety while being wherever during the day. Hopefully as the community continues to grow, so does their ability to ensure the happiness of all their residents.

I have been living here since the community has opened and I can say it is nice, clean, and has a nice staff. However, I do not wish this community on anyone. I do not smoke but there has been numerous of emails sent out to residents asking for someone to come forward If they see another resident smoking, as if they do not pay rent to live here they can do as they please (my opinion). The parking is a huge issue of mine, I misplaced my car's registration which delayed me of getting a parking decal although I pay $1900 in rent each month I was told I would have to park outside the gate until my registration came in the mail. I had to practically beg for a temporary decal because I am not walking at night from behind restaurants with my 2yo son to get into a building I pay for monthly. A resident or guest is going to get seriously injured with the guest parking being located outside of the gate of the actual community. When mentioned to the assistant manager, he confirmed that they cannot protect anyone on their own property which I believed to be insane since they have a gated community and guest have to park outside the gate in alleys behind old restaurants. If I had the ability to sign off of my lease, I would leave. The community's guidelines do not reflect that they want people to feel like home in their own homes. Your patio has to follow their rules which are outrageous. Maintenance apparently conducted a "routine" check which I believe was just to spy into people's apartments because they did not fix the very clear things that needed attending too. My refrigerator has been signaling about a filter change since before the routine check and has not been fixed. I would rather the community focus on their resident's actual safety, wants and needs than the "business" side of what makes them look good for people to continue signing lease's and end up...

I’ve lived here since January and unfortunately I am rarely satisfied with this place. I’ve had mainly good experiences with the people who work here so it’s not the leasing team I have complaints with. 1.Within the first month of living here we experienced a leak and potential mold that the maintenance team could not solve and so they told us we have to move units. Westgate paid for our movers but refused to compensate us for any part of our rent. As most people know moving is a pain in the a** and we had to take off time from work to get this done. We then experienced ANOTHER leak in the new unit so it’s been a journey. 2.The complex absolutely reeks of weed wherever you go… staircases, elevators, hallways… even inside of my unit smells of it due to the neighbors. The lovely smell of the main office is not what you’ll get while living here. Westgate includes a 50 dollar trash fee to pay someone to take our trash bag a few feet down the hall to the trash chute. Even though I’d much rather save the money and take the trash the fee is mandatory. This being said , the trash guy has MAYBE taken our trash 15- 20 times in my 9 months of living here. Other than that the trash is left by my door and the job incomplete. My elevator has been on and off broken for at least two months and we are not updated on it frequently enough. The advertisement of a gated community is straight up a lie at this point. The external gates have worked for maybe 10 days all together which is laughable. The doors to the buildings themselves are constantly broken and wide open allowing anyone to come up the elevator. Although the apartment units look pretty, they’re put together rather cheaply. Whoever assembled my unit was lazy ash because my ac thermostat and my light switches are all crooked on the walls. The floor boards (or whatever u call the piece in between the floor and the cabinet) are not held strongly in place and fall down at times.

To reiterate the people who work at the leasing office are super kind and this review is not meant to reflect them at all.. just wanted to share my review so people don’t waste their money...
