Subway — Restaurant in Lawrence

Came in and I sat down and let my client order her food (I let her be as independent as possible and only help or cut in when needed). Then after waiting 5 minutes (not too terrible but there was no one ahead of us) the girl behind the counter told her the "line started over there, opposite of the register". Well my client is elderly with a cane and it takes a lot out of her to walk and the register is close enough to the beginning of the line that she shouldn't have to move. Again she was first in line anyway. So I'm sitting at a table waiting for my client to order and the employee looks at ME and asks what will she have. I said..why don't you ask her? I don't know what she wants, ask her. The employee then keeps asking questions like what type of cheese does she want even though the #11 club comes with provolone! Just put what comes on the sandwich unless asked differently! Speaking of, my client asked for no lettuce, but the employee put lettuce on and when she realized so, she took the lettuce off the meat and put it back in the lettuce tray! That is cross contamination. You just had lettuce touching meat and such and you put it back?! It should have been thrown out. Then the employee calls for backup as there is now a line of 3 people and she's still making this sandwich. Just ridiculous. We won't be...

The food at Subway is always tasty but the only problem I have with them is their prices have gone way up over the past few years. It used to be a bargain to get sandwiches here and I'd do so a couple of times a month but now I go to other sub shops to get more unique sandwiches for the same price. However, that is a comment about Subway as the restaurant chain. For this particular location, the only problem I have had was the last time I was here, I had to wait for about 30 minutes for my food despite the restaurant not being busy and I was already in the parking lot waiting for my curbside order. I have already had a conversation with the management about this issue via email and they have said they would resolve the issue, so I mention this as an advisory for anyone who might experience the same...

If you plan on going here you don't order multiple sandwiches because it will be messed up. We ordered three sandwiches and said we needed only two toasted since the third was a cold cut. The guy toasted the first two and was about to put the cold cut in the toaster when we stopped him. Told him what cheese we wanted on which sandwich and he grabbed the wrong cheese and when he got the right cheese almost put them on the wrong sub. With all the problems we had to focus on one sub at a time so we missed a few mistakes. Got home and my sandwich had shredded cheese which I didn't request and because of the problems decided it's not worth eating...
