I LOVE Dillards but I never go because it's always been my experience that it's just another over priced department store chain. I went over the weekend with my teenager to find prom attire. When we entered the store it was clean, organized, and generally well kept. The staff was friendly and helpful except in the shoe department where there was only 1 person actually working while 5 others stood around and pretended to be working on a computer. The senior lady in the shoe department was very helpful, knowledgeable, and peofessional, but because she was doing all of the work for all the customers (the others were standing around) it took her longer to get to each person. We ultimately found the perfect shoes at a decent price AND they do military discount, AWESOME! The dress experience was the opposite, we wandered around the dress aisle, grabbing at the ones that sparked our interest with a quick "hello, is there anything I can help with?" From an emoyee. Once we said "no thank you" we were on our way to the dressing room. The dressing room was really nice and so was the waiting area. I had 3 toddlers with me and the waiting area accomodated us well while my teen tried on all of her dresses.

This store has the worst customer service!! Especially the cashiers in the shoe department!!! I Had grabbed a few pairs of shoes and then needed to look at something in the jewelry department, the cashier chased me down saying I needed to pay for those in the shoes section, I explained we were just looking around, and we were planning to go back and pay. She took the boxes of shoes and said to go back and pay when we were ready. I told her ok that’s fine, we went back to purchase the shoes and some other items we had she was no where to be seen. Waited around for 5 minutes to get helped checking out, a different cashier walked right past us down to her register, so we went down to try to check out with her, she said “sorry I can’t help you, the other cashier helped you out so she has to check you out.” I explained we had been waiting around for her and had no idea where she was and we were in a hurry and just wanted to pay for the items we had, she said no and said “she’ll get mad if I get her commission.” I don’t care about your commission just help a customer out!! She clearly saw us waiting around and didn’t care to “look for the cashier” or call her to help us. So unprofessional !!!!! Ended up just leaving the items and didn’t...
