Long story short.. Overall... Horrible service. Super Expensive. They paid no attention to us. They forgot one of our rolls and we couldn't ask if it was still coming because they were too busy looking at their computer screen. They gave us dirty dishes multiple times even after asking for a clean replacement. Don't think we'll be back... Story below...
Made a reservation and requested to sit at a regular table, NOT the Chabudai tables because my spouse has a bad back. They sat us at the Chabudai tables anyway... We waited around 10 minutes before anyone asked us for drinks... The brought us waters and plates, but one glass and the two plates were dirty. I noticed my glass was dirty and asked for another glass. The waiter brought me another glass, but I didn't notice that the glass was still dirty and the other plates had some green and red substance until he had left. We ordered 3 rolls, 8 Salmon Nigiri, and 2 house salads, they never brought out one of the rolls. After getting some of our food, we were never checked on for the rest of the meal. Rather than offering to make it right they offered us the opportunity to wait longer for the roll that never came. The total came to $71.28 adding insult to injury.
Advice to the owners... Invest more in your team. Teach them the importance of service and cleanliness. They will make or break your restaurant. If your waiters, hosts, and cleaning staff don't care, your customers won't care to come back. I don't think it's asking too much (especially for $71). If you don't figure it out there's always going to be another...
Read moreThis was honestly the only place I'd eat at in the mall besides the occasional Chick-fil-A. It was delicious, had nice portions, and could feed two adults (with some leftovers for later depending on hungriness). I would personally order two #1s for my girlfriend and I with extra teriyaki sauce and no veggies. It was heaping!
Unfortunately, you may have noticed I used the word "was." The store is completely different now, and it seems to have gone a bad route. :( Portion sizes have gone down, prices have gone up, and the "fast casual" aspect of this restaurant is gone, as the last two tries I gave them we were given some very old proteins. Cooking a few minutes beforehand is no problem for me at all with very little difference in quality, but it's obvious when it's been more than 30 min - 1 hour. I am quite saddened by this as is my girlfriend, as we literally used to eat here at least every two weeks or so.
If the old staff came back, I would change this rating to 5 stars in a heartbeat.
Edit: Found the old staff at Q1 in the mall food court. I was very happy to see the old employees, and the chicken teriyaki is just how I...
Read moreI have been going here for years when I’m in the mall. I won’t be doing that anymore… Despite me actually being right there they pushed the door dash person ahead of me even though he came after 2 other people. They said this is the new policy… they also loaded the door dash ones up and skimped on my food. They also lined it right next to the ones that I specifically told them I was allergic to epi pen allergy! They forgot the sauce until I said something and overall the quality of my food be the others right there was messed up! Despite watching me tip. I have eaten here a lot and this was by far the smallest amount of meat I have ever gotten. Honestly because they LOADED the door dash orders. Way too much money to be at the mall of all places to eat. I could have gone a lot of other places and I will be...
