Five Below — Local services in Layton

Worst experience of my shopping lifetime. A male employee that may have been a manager , came up to me as I was deciding between some natural stones they had and had taken a lot of them down so I could see them side by side and the man came over to me and said " Are you going to put those back, I've noticed you have been over here for a while? " I said " oh I'm sorry , I'm just trying to decide which ones to get, but yes I am going to hang them back up!" He snickered and walked away and I felt so uncomfortable that I put them all back and didn't get any of them. I then went to the front of the store and was deciding on some pet costumes for my 2 Chihuahuas and had put some blank canvas's back that I was going to get because I changed my mind and the same male employee came to me and said where did the stuff go that was in your cart? I said I put them back , and showed him in my cart that I didn't have the rocks, but he wasn't referring to them, and " said no the other stuff?" I said what stuff? He said " you had more stuff in your cart, some pictures for painting." I said " I put them back in the same place I got them from , I can show you if you would like!" He snickered again and walked off and I put the items I was looking at back on the rack and went to purchase the few things I had and told the cashier that it was my first time coming there and that I will never come back because of the employee that had harassed me and that he should be fired and does not belong working in a place that requires customer service. She apologized and looked horrified. I told her it wasn't her fault and thanked her. When I got in my car I could see into the store and the same male employee who had been so rude to me had went to the cashier after I left and was speaking to her , I'm assuming to ask her what I had bought or if I had said something to her about him. I did not get his name so I couldn't call and make a report to his supervisor but my mind is set on never returning to any 5 Below store again. Nothing to complain about. This is a great alternative to Dollar General or Family Dollar. They've got a huge selection of products from toys and candy to electronics and clothes. Worth stopping in for finding something unique and usually decent quality. Always clean and organized, they do a good job of making it feel like you want to be there. The employees have been nice and helpful every time I've been there (even though once even the manager didn't understand a sale that was going on, but that's okay. He was nice about it.) We'll be...

We love Five Below! My daughter was bummed out about something and said “mom, do you know what will make me feel better? Five Below!” Five Below is shrinking my wallet, but it’s also making my daughter happy, so it’s a win!

They always have fun things here and at a great price, hence the name :) I love checking out the selection of candy/snacks because they always have something different I’ve never seen before.
