Disappointed in the new changes.
First the menu was removed and replaced with a tiny hang up next to the register that’s difficult to read.
The salads are $8.99 for a full size but my order was $9.49. I asked for a simple explanation and Fernando G instantly wanted to argue with me that it’s just the price it is. All I asked for was an Aloha Mango and suspected that he up charged me for an additional meat. Finally a manger came up and asked what was going on and I explained my concern for the extra $.50. (Now I have a good job and make decent money so $.50 isn’t a concern for me it’s just the blantant combative nature from the POS representative and the inability to explain a price descrepency with a regular menu item.) She told me that it’s just something new that upper management added charges additional for the chicken that comes on the salad. I again asked why it is up charged when it’s advertised as $8.99 and the description includes chicken? And the mango shredded chicken is also advertised as No Additional Charge. Frustrating. Whatever. I let it go because it was becoming a scene.
I get my water cup and when I fill it up it had soap suds coming out of it. The communal silver ware was greasy and some of the forks still had food on them.
I asked an employee for a new cup and for a plastic fork and she responded, “No habla ingles.” Lmfao sure. Does Rumbi hire illegal immigrants? Doubtful.
Food was decent. Everything else sucks. This used to be my favorite place. It’s been a while since I’ve been able to come here and unfortunately this is not at all how I remember it. I will...
Read moreSo... I have left very few reviews and try to only post good reviews. But the service I got here was terrible last night! I waited 58 minutes, watched 2 families eat and leave before I got my to go order food. When I went up to ask about my food the lady in charge said well I called your name. First of all it was busy and loud, but second they gave me a number and said they'd bring it to me (10 feet away) from the front! The girl in charge was very awnry threw the food at me and walked away. I saw that they were training a new cook, I also noticed that they were understaffed..... BUT I also noticed that my food was the small size and I ordered the regular size. Then I also paid for 2 regular size rice bowls with teriyaki chicken and steak, instead I got 2 small size rice bowls with teriyaki chicken and steak. I asked for 2 extra sauces and they said I needed to pay for them, I showed them on my receipt that I had payed for them already, but said forget it and walked out. I'll never be going back to this location. I noticed that they had manager of the year signs on the walls of this location, so I hope this is a once in a while thing, but honestly I am never going back so goodbye...
Read moreI have visited this Rumbi location many times over the last several years and there was a time when it was among my favorite places to eat. Over the last 6-12 months, however, I have not visited as frequently, largely because they have significantly curtailed the value of their promotional offers via advertising. I finally went back a couple of days ago and was at least somewhat disappointed overall. Here were the positives: The food was still good, the restaurant was clean, and the service was friendly and reasonably quick. Here were the negatives: Menu options have been reduced (for example, no more grilled chicken sandwiches!), punch cards have been discontinued, prices have gone up significantly (a couple of bucks per sandwich, salad, or entree...NOT pennies...DOLLARS), and portion sizes have been reduced. Overall, this location no longer provides the value for the money that they once did. I like the food here a lot and the service and atmosphere are still good, but because of three negatives listed above, I'm not sure when I'll be back to patronize this establishment again...
