BUYER BEWARE! We bought both a KitchenAid Refrigerator Model No. KRBR102ESS and a KitchenAid Dishwasher Model No. KDTM404KPS â "top of the line" appliances. Come to find out the refrigerator (that YOU CANNOT RETURN) is a 10 year old model. We left a review on the KitchenAid site (see below) and they DID NOT publish our review because it wasn't a 'positive review'. UNBELIEVABLE!
PROS: In-store buying experience: The sales staff (every single one of them that assisted us) were very kind, friendly, respectful and we felt they truly wanted to help us resolve the issues we were having. Delivery: exceeded our expectations! It was the BEST we've had in 40+ years! The crew was courteous, well-trained, very meticulous in installing both appliances. Inventory:their in-store inventory is limited, and you may have to wait sev eral weeks or even a few months to get your appliance delivered either from corporate or their warehouse. It was obvious to us that several of the young sales staff were not knowledgeable about product information and even gave us incorrect information. Our sales guy had to contact the regional KitchenAid Supervisor to get answers ... and even he gave us incorrect information! The information given to us before the sale and after the sale was deceitful.... the process was excruciating!
REVIEW: Having KichenAid appliances for almost 30 years, the quality has declined substantially! After saving for a few years to purchase this "top of the line" KitchenAid Refrigerator, within the first week of use I knew this was not a 'good' purchase. The door is heavy, to open it it sometimes gets stuck and I have to use both hands to open it. EVERY TIME I open the bottom freezer door, I have to double check that the door closes properly because it can easily be left ajar. The inside shelves feel cheap, in the last month I've cut my hand and finger on the edge of the drawer and the shelves. The drawers down pull out easily and they're 'off-balance' ... I have to use both hands to close it. I have to continually keep wiping the exterior, because the finish shows every single hand/finger print on it. The handles protrude and are a bit bulky. As far as the dishwasher: within the first week of use I knew this was not a 'good' purchase. The door is heavy, to open it and slide the shelves out, you have to open the door all the way down until it literally touches your kitchen floor; which means unnecessary bending over all the way down EVERY TIME you need to place dishes in the washer. The control panel located at the top of the door is EXTREMELY sensitive, and NUMEROUS times, with the lightest touch it turns on and you have to keep pressing the 'CANCEL' button to 'deactivate' it. The center adjusting shelf/basket is noisy and feels unstable every single time I pull or push on it to slide it out or in. I am disheartened because this product does not meet the KitchenAid standards â it's not built like the ones I've had years ago! It's basically an overpriced product ... and you're only paying for the brand name.

NOTE: We purchased two appliances and we weren't able to leave two separate reviews; therefore, we've included both reviews here. We hope and pray this information...
Read moreAvoid at all costs if you canâwhile the sales and installation was smooth, our new built in freezer started malfunctioning immediately and was frosted over within 24 hours of plugging it in. Called for service and we were told a technician could not visit to diagnose the problem until 3.5 weeks later (despite having purchased the top of the line âiron cladâ extended/enhanced warranty) Ultimately we did get an earlier visit (about a week later) who told us the problem was obviousâthe freezer door is warped/not sealing properly. No commitment on time to get a new one or whether we could simply get a new/properly functioning unit since we had just purchased it. We were told that we would receive an email update on the part within a weekâso now 2 weeks into a new freezer and we are having to try and remove frost/ice almost daily (and wishing we had our old unit back which was still functioning when we removed it!). Email ultimately arrived and noted the part was on back order. So, we contacted the store and politely asked for a new freezer since this one was never rightâwe were told they would put in a request, but unlikely it would be done. I was promised a call back with an updateâFive days later and no call back so I call againâ-still no update, although later that day we got another part updateâpart is on back order, no commitment on timing. I have politely called our sales rep multiple times, and asking him to simply refer me to a manager to help me resolve things, but now he is not calling me back. Looks like I will be stopping by the store soon to try and get some assistanceâtalk about a frustrating experience! We have always purchased appliances from Nebraska Furniture Mart, but thought we would try Warners Stellian and try and support the new store very close to our home in Leawoodâwhat a mistake that was as we now still have a freezer filled with ice/frost nearly one month after they installed a faulty unit to begin withârun away, go elsewhere, donât purchase from these guys unless you are ready for...
Read moreThis company was horrible to deal with. They are nice until they make the sale and after that they do not care about the customer. Clearly they just want their commission. We purchased all our new appliances for our new house from them. The issues we have had are too many to list. But it has been a nightmare. Two of the appliances were damaged when they delivered them. One was the refrigerator which was obvious it was damaged but they were hoping we wouldn't notice. The other one they just basically said well we will give you $100 credit rather than fixing it. They also installed the range hood crooked. The installers left their trash and a mess all over after they did the installation. There were all kinds of problems with the microwave. Their managers are rude and definitely don't care about customer service. Anyway it has just been a nightmare. You would think after we spent $13,000 on appliances, they would treat the customer better and want us to be satisfied, but they do not care. Don't fall for their advertising that tells you they are a family company that cares about the customer. Don't waste your time and money with this company. There are plenty of other places to do business with. I just wish we would have done our research better before we dealt with...
