For months I had been searching for a place that could fix my necklace. Finally I found this jewelry store which stated they do repairs and not just on rings. I contacted them by email and received a very quick response from Ms. Barnes. She advised they did have a person that does repairs and ask that I bring the necklace over. That Saturday I drove to Leesburg VA from Harpers Ferry WV. I met with Ms. Barnes who couldn't have been more sweet and understanding. I had this necklace through nearly my entire police career and keep my shield and St. Michael's pendant on it. Mind you now this by far wasn't an expensive necklace by any means. You learn very quickly you do not where your expensive jewelry as a police officer. The sentimental value of this necklace meant more to me than you could ever imagine. It had certainly been through alot, and also back in 2003 I was nearly shot and killed by an individual who was not only high on PCP, but also had just committed a murder 12 hours prior right down the road. Little did I know he also just got out of prison for 2nd degree murder as well. Im convinced to this day had I not been wearing this necklace I wouldn't be here. Ms. Barnes stated they could make the repair. It got broke after getting tangled in a t-shirt I was wearing. I left the necklace with her. That Monday, I received an email back from Ms. Barnes that the necklace was repaired. On Tuesday I picked up my necklace and couldn't have been more grateful at the repair job itself. It was barely even noticable considering where it broke. Even though I never asked how much it would cost initially, it couldn't have been more reasonable compared to the sentimental value. I will definitely use Leesburg Jewelers for any future needs and highly recommend them in every aspect. They were professional, responsive, reasonable, and definitely know jewery. Ms. Barnes, I can't thank both you and your repair person enough for fixing my necklace. Its nice to know there are still people in this world who still care about their customers and your customer service skills are outstanding!! Thank you sooo...

I broke the back off my gold hoop earring, which also ended up chipping part of the top of the hoop. I went into Leesburg Jewelers - Yes the door is locked, I truly don't see why that seems to irritate people in the other reviews? All you do is knock, and the kind lady that works there comes on over and welcomes you in. Anyway, I went in and explained what I would like done - attach the stud of another gold earring I had onto the hoop I broke, but don't bother fixing the chipped part. The lady took my earrings, gave me an estimate (quite cheap) and sent me on my way. I expected it to take about a week... took 3 days!! MUCH faster than I imagined. When I went in, she said they fixed the chipped part of my earring and added an entirely new gold stud since the stud of the sacrificial gold earring wasn't real gold (oops). Then she wanted to charge me the original low price, even though 1. the goldsmith filled in the chipped part with more gold 2. he added an entire new gold backing!!! While a generous offer, I threw in extra $ for the hassle. The workers there were kind, chatty, and incredibly warm. While I hope I don't break any other jewelry, I know that I have a place to go if I do!! Thank you...
Read moreI don’t typically share or rate for bad experiences but I left here feeling so uncomfortable. I arrived and the door was locked and there was no jewelry on display so I thought maybe I was too early. I called and they said they were open but just keep the door locked. When they came to open the door the store manager made fun of me for not knowing how to knock on the door and I explained I didn’t knock as it appeared they were closed and I didn’t want to be rude. I came to try to sell some of my jewelry pieces I received from a deceased family member and he was not kind at all. I totally understand if the piece is not sellable, but he kept saying things like no one likes this style jewelry anymore and they weren’t worth anything to him and kept demanding I tell him what price I wanted for everything when I repeatedly said I’m not sure I don’t know what they are worth and he wouldn’t accept that as an answer. The other lady behind the counter even told him to ease up on me. I’m not upset because my jewelry wasn’t sold, I’m upset because of how I was treated, I’ve had my jewelry appraised and sold at two different locations and they were kind and helpful and not at all like this please. Please reconsider how you...
