Had a great coupon and heard so many good things about it so we tried it. My husband got beef tongue, which he said was good despite the fact that he later psyched himself out and couldn't finish it, and I got a whole chicken with black beans and fries as well as a pork pupusa. I wanted to be able to have leftovers for dinner the next night. I really wanted to eat the entire chicken. I was expecting something like what you get at the grocery stores... oh no, you could see the smoke coloring on the meat. Whatever seasoning they use is phenomenal and it was incredibly juicy and tender. I couldn't have been more impressed! The beans were also really good and while I never had a pupusa before and have nothing to compare it to, it was very good as well. One of the other reviewers complained about the space... its an old downtown Leesburg building, not a dining hall. It has limited seating indoors and some outdoor seating in warm weather. And its not glamorously decorated either, but who cares? And yes, when we went there were a couple Hispanic families there but to me that just means its authentic. We were not ignored, we had great service, our waitresses were nearby but did not pester us, we were overall very pleased. And by the way, they do more than just Mexican food. I cant wait to eat the rest of my chicken and bring our visiting family...

I was in the area and really wanted GST (Gas Station Thai = Thai Pan in Leesburg), but couldn’t find a place to park. Then while driving around that gas station looking for a spot to park, I smelled some amazing Pollo a La Brassa and saw La Chocita behind the gas station. That smelled drew me in!

The folks inside were friendly and sat me promptly. I ordered a quarter chicken and she immediately told me she didn’t have any chicken today (I think she meant not ready yet). I said I smelled it and that’s why I came in, so she said to wait and went in the back. She came back and said she had chicken, so I assumed the fresh, amazing smelling chicken I came in for that was being cooked was ready. Well, what I got was yesterday’s chicken which seemed to be re-heated. It was dry and flavorless… very boring. No spices to be seen or tasted – So very disappointing!

The beans that came with it were decent… not a lot of flavor, but great texture and still good. The salad was fresh, their “dressing” was the typical mayo-based sauce and it was ok.

Overall – Nothing at all exciting about this visit… I left...

Have always loved this place until I went with my family to enjoy some good food and the server interrupted our family dinner by venting to us about how my dad was extremely rude once, a long time ago(years ago). She specifically used the word "grosero" and went on to say that none of the servers are pleased to help him when he goes there. I'm not sure what kind of customer service they were taught but last I checked you're not supposed to "call people out" especially as a PAYING customer. We were all extremely confused as to what was going on. My father apologized but was very appalled. In the past they have messed up our order as to why it became frustrating which would lead a PAYING customer to explain how that is not acceptable.

I was craving some Peruvian chicken and stumbled on this place. My friend recommended it and since I was in Leesburg, I thought I’d give it a try. The parking lot needs some work, it’s not paved. Apparently this place has been in business for over 20 years, they could improve in this area. You start with complimentary chips and salsa. This wasn’t bad. I started off with horchata, very good. I had half a chicken all dark meat with yucca and rice. The chicken was pretty good. Flavorful, juicy, tender. The yucca was the perfect texture, crispy exterior, soft interior. The rice was okay. The sauce both white and green could use some work. I’ll say, their sauce doesn’t come close to super chickens sauce. We dined in. The place was clean. The server was nice. They checked on us multiple times throughout the meal. They have a extensive menu. I’ll definitely come back to try out the other items.

Very disappointed. The photos looked promising, but the quality and taste were below average. The refried beans had a strange flavor that was hard to place—not enjoyable at all. My plate was also extremely liquidy, which affected the texture and presentation. The chicken was bland and lacked seasoning or any standout taste. Nothing about it felt authentic or well-prepared. The sauces were underwhelming and didn’t add anything special to the dishes. Overall, it felt like a missed opportunity for what could’ve been a flavorful Latino meal. Again, very disappointed. And overpriced for what it’s worth.
