Tough one. $5,000 for two doors. Took several attempts for the HD contractor to get accurate measurements, took several attempts for HD to order the doors due to questions about the measurements. Turns out I was told they were standard doors. We added a storm door and after the doors were finally installed, we started getting water in between the doors and inside the house. The contractor came out and stated that they were going to caulk. This happened several times. More and more caulking which looks embarrassing from a license contractor and certainly as a home owner standpoint. HD sent their contractors project manager, who pointed the blame at our siding... which again is very odd as we didn't have any issues with water or a hot mess on the exterior of the house prior to the installation. We have contacted HD as they are only offering a $500 discount!? We were told that we would continue to have to caulk the entry way moving forward by the dept manager and they have never had a single problem like this in the "14 years" she has been at HD. LOL. I'm sure. We have zero problems paying contractors to provide goods and services, but fully expect professionalism and that the contractors finish product would be something they would be happy with on their own house. As it stands, $5,000 for two doors, and a soupy looking mess of caulking and doors that are hard to close and have had issues from day 1.

I feel like a kid in a candy store when shopping at Home Depot. You just want to buy everything and do a million DIY projects! The staff is very helpful and there is almost always someone there to help. I had a great experience when purchasing custom made blinds for our kitchen. He walked me through each step and ordered everything for me without a hitch the blinds were delivered shortly after and they are perfect!(I’ve included pics, Venetia, 1.5” vinyl) we’ve had them now for about a year and I love them! Easy to clean, look great, block out heat. Eventually we will get them for each room, pricey though, be ready to shell out about $100 a piece for custom fit. The reason for my 4 star rating and not 5 is because of the lack of variety in products offered, especially in the outdoor gardening center. Lowe’s beats them by a long shot in this department, but that’s for a different review! They also seem to be out of stock of a good amount of items whenever I go. (Although lately I believe it’s due to the pandemic and people doing more projects)

OK, feeling generous: One star added for very nice customer service x 2 on this visit and of course the store has a good selection of home improvement products. But they have their isles clogged up with pop-out product displays, can't get down an aisle if another customs stops in an isle with a carriage. So that's really poor customer service on the part of the chain. Whatever. And beware the slope of the parking lot, the grade is steep enough that a stationary carriage loaded with 50+ pounds of building material will roll and pick up speed exponentially. Ridiculous and should do better. Dangerous. On another occasion spent 20 minutes in my car waiting for a pickup order, they don't seem to have enough employees and rely on customers to ring up their own hours.

I contracted installation of Timber Tech decking, approx. cost $14,000 of materials. I instructed the contractor not to purchase from Home Depot due issues of a previous purchase of a bathroom vanity, . Despite my orders to the contractor, he order the decking from Home Depot. The contractor kept kicking the time frame to construct the decking down the road claiming the decking was not in. On 7/9/15 I went to the Leominster MA store to inquire the status of the order. The clerk at the pro desk stated in would be in the next day. It did not arrive the next day. It was missorted to Boston instead of Leominster. Not until Wednesday 7/15 when I came home I saw a partial delivery of the decking only, no rails, sprawled about 18 feet from the street, 20 % on my driveway, 80 % on my lawn, sprawled out like I was kicking it out to the curb. My first call was to the contractor to see if it was his doing. He stated he knew the decking was arriving and instructed Home Depot to unload it in the back yard. I promptly went to the Leominster store, the store manager was out. I spoke to the asst manager. I asked why the decking was not placed where instructed. His response was the truck had a gate issue. That's no excuse, the driver still should had delivered it to the instructions the contractor gave Home Depot. I stated I did not want that delivery due to if composite decking is cracked, moisture will ruin the decking. I also asked the asst manager what compensation I'll receive for the issues. He stated I'll receive compensation. I asked how much, he stated he will not give a number until the job is completed. Not even a ball park. Are they going to offer $50 or $5,000? I asked for the phone number for the district office, he refused to provide the number.

Shortly after, the store manager called. She could not provide an answer as to why the driver did not deliver in the back yard or why the driver just left the decking by the road, or why Home Depot did not call the contractor or home owner. I refused the delivery and demanded compensation for the missort and delay to reorder as the 1st shipment possibly had damaged product. The store manager offered $750, We agreed on a mere $1,000 compensation, less than 10% off, a coupon would have been better. The manager stated that she'll monitor the reorder. Home Depot sent 2 employees that afternoon to stack the decking onto skids and strap the decking. They showed up at 6:45 the next morning to pick up the decking waking me, my family and the neighborhood with the constant beeping of the truck when in reverse

On the evening of 7/16 I spoke to the contractor, He stated that the driver called to apologize, he barely spoke English but from what he understood, the decking fell off the truck onto the street. The driver and my neighbor helped the driver pick the decking from the street to end of my driveway. What is the mentality of this Home Depot Driver. The decking falls off the truck, and he still drops it off at the end of the driveway instead of returning to store? They do not immediately call the contractor or home owner. If I didn't come home , the decking probably would have been installed by the contractor. Then in short time I'll have problems with the decking, and the manufacture would be the scape goat. Who'd pay for labor ?

On 7/17 , I asked the store manager why I wasn't informed that the decking fell off the truck onto the street, she didn't have an answer. I asked how the decking fell off the truck, she stated the strapping broke ( probably the same quality strapping found on the shelves ) The asst manager stated a gate issue. I instructed the managed to cancel the reorder, she started to offer more compensation. At this point she could have offered a full refund and deliver the decking. It still wouldn't have mattered. If the 2nd shipment was treated the same as the first it would cost me more in labor to redo the deck.

Bottom line, DO NOT BE A HERO by thinking you'll save a few bucks at Home Depot. I'll never even buy a...

Went to Home Depot in Leominster Massachusetts to order new doors. I purchased special order doors 20 years ago at this home Depot. Because the dorrs we're natural pine, one of the doors had no storm door to protect it, so it rotted. Went to order a door to replace it, same size door, but fiberglass instead of wood. I also bought a Storm door to add protection. After sitting through with the associate checking numerous manufacturers and options, we decided on one that I thought would be the right option. Waiting a few more minutes as the associate was typing away at his computer, he came up with an estimate of just over $1900.00. I agreed with the estimate and the options for the door and he printed it out. I asked about the size since it didn't look right, but he assured me that it was what I inquired about. He the told me it would be 2 weeks. Monday May 3rd. I called on the 4Ath since I hadn't heard, the automated response was it was in and being processed and I would hear about it in a day or so. I called again the next day and spoke to another associate. I asked for a special order door 32x80, but the response was "you mean 30x80. I said that was incorrect. He put me on a brief hold and came back on saying he couldn't stop the order and I would have to accept it since I signed for it. It was their policy. The manager was supposed to call me on Monday, but as of today, Saturday May 14th, I still haven't heard from the manager. I personally went to the store to speak with the manager, but she wasn't available. They said the decision was already made. I don't get a refund for their mistake and I have to accept the door as is. Or I can order another door for the cost of $2000. Don't special order anything from this store. Do yourself a face and reduce your stress....

I recently ordered a washing machine from Home Depot in Leominster. It was delivered without the hoses I purchased so it could be installed. The company who delivered it told me Home Depot had not given them supplies all day so they delivered a bunch of appliances to clients without the proper parts. They instructed me to call Home Depot. I called Home Depot and spoke to the manager who told that was not the case. That Home Depot was moving away from that company and for whatever reason that company was not delivering the appropriate parts. I was told I could come to Home Depot to get the part and install it myself however I am not able to do that. The manager said they had another company he would call that would call me that night and come the next day to install it, but that it would cost Home Depot more money. No one ever called me that night and the next morning a company called and said they could not come out for another week. I called Home Depot again and spoke to another manager who had no idea what I was talking about and said he would look into it and call me back. 5 hours later he never did. I called AGAIN and spoke to another manager who ALSO had no idea what I was talking about. Said he would look into it and call me again. I am extremely dissatisfied with the service at the Home Depot in Leominster and their lack of responsiveness and communication! I will not be recommending Home Depot to anyone for their...
