I purchased a bag as a Christmas present and stored it away in all of its originally packaging until it was time to wrap for Christmas. Upon going to wrap it, I noticed the tissue paper it origally was sold with was melted into the purse, thus ripping off the leather when I tried to take off the tissue paper. It was stored in a cool temp closet for a month, so there is no reason it should have "melted" like that. I lost the receipt in the shuffle of wrapping, however, my aunt is a manager at another shop in these outlets and said that Kate Spade should be able to just do an even exchange since my information is stored in the system. I had to drive 2 hours to exchange the bag. All of my information was in the system, along with my receipt, but yet the worker still made me pay extra to do an EVEN exchange (for the same exact bag) because I lost the receipt (even though she literally had my original receipt in the system under my account). The fact I received a defective bag, had to travel 2 hours to exchange it, then had to pay extra to exchange the exact same bag was ridiculous. Even though this is an outlet store, Kate Spade is still considered a higher end brand and should be held to higher standards. Next time I will choose the other shops, like Michael Kors, Tory...

The girl working at the front made me and my friend uncomfortable by rolling her eyes at us while we waited to come in. When we got inside the store, she greeted us with the most sarcastic tone i’ve ever heard from a store employee anywhere. Her attitude was honestly embarrassing. When browsing items, she laughed at me when i told my friend that i had one of the wallets on display. When we left, once again, she told us “have a super pleasant wonderful day” with strong sarcasm and attitude. I am disgusted in the way she spoke to me and my friend while shopping. There were two employees working at the time, one male, one female. The girl who was 100% unwelcoming and had poor customer service had brown hair and glasses. Read moreI went to this outlet this morning for the sole purpose of purchasing a handbag and wallet that I had seen online. I felt like Julia Roberts. I was ignored by 2 different clerks. Those same 2 clerks greeted others cordially as soon as they entered, and rushed to help them as soon as they stopped to look at something. It was quite apparent that they judged me by the way I was dressed (yoga pants, sneakers, and a windbreaker - all clean) and didn’t think I would buy anything. I was tempted to leave without purchasing anything, but I was too impatient to wait for the items to arrive had I ordered them online, so I bought them anyway.
Shame on you. All customers deserve to be treated with respect, regardless of whether or not they fit your narrow view of what a Kate Spade customer...
