Hong Kong Express — Restaurant in Little Elm

It’s been a few years since I have ordered from here, and now I remember why. The food quality is not very good and the flavor profiles are horrid. We ordered the family deal for 3: Lo mein with mixed meat Broccoli with chicken Szechuan with chicken extra spicy We got the 3 fried rice, 3 spring rolls, 1 egg drop soup and 2 wonton soups that came with it.

I had asked for extra egg to be put in the fried rice. There was barely any egg. I received a call from the restaurant AFTER we had already started eating saying they received my order and they can’t add any extra egg bc the rice is pre-made. So you can’t fry an egg to add to your premade rice?

I asked for one of the dishes to be EXTRA SPICY. It had no level of spiciness to it AT ALL. I even used some of their chili sauce to try to make it spicy and that wasn’t spicy either. Had no taste whatsoever.

The egg drop soup was flavorless and had a really weird thick texture to it. Not the consistency I am used to at all.

The spring rolls were gross. The inside was completely mushy.

This place is Amazing!! I'm not sure how people rate it less than 5 stars as I've had a great experience every time. They even have the thoughtful insight to use a program that keeps track of your information and previous orders so it makes them come off as a restaurant that cares about repeat business. My normal order is the beef and broccoli and the chicken fried rice with an order of the crab ragoon. First off the portion sizes are good and I usually have to split it up between two meals so for the price I'm getting lunch and dinner. The quality is some of the best ever, it's really hard to find a chinese place that makes good food, even harder to find one that is close to where you live, and even harder to find one that has it ready for pick up in less than 15 mins. All of that together plus the quality and the portion amounts make this place a really great restaurant and I recommend this to every one looking to satisfy that chinese food craving we all get from...

Terrible customer service.

Rude over the phone, couldn’t understand them either. Wife broke her pink toe so I was trying to give directions to our new house right down the road and they couldn’t figure it out. Managed to come all the way in, get back home and NO PLASTICWARE! Unbelievable.

Will not be returning here, and I suggest you go elsewhere. This is horrible service that is not tolerated in such a new area. Plenty of new establishments will be honored to come take your spot.

Even when calling back, no one answers now. I’m pretty sure they see who you are on caller ID and are refusing to pick up because they’re doing it on purpose. No joke people, they’re mad because they had a hard time the first time, trying to get my new address.

Edit: finally had to break down one of the boxes in the garage buried from just moving in 2 days ago for the silverware. Food is terrible anyway. Bland sauce, nothing exciting....
