Frustrating review about the old and new version of this store. Used to come here as a kid in the late 90's/early 2000's era during the Pokemon craze. I loved coming in and getting cards etc. After seeing some of the rare cards in the display case, I thought I should sell my rarest card from the base set (yeah, that one). I was 12 years old or so. All of my cards were perfect, I took great care to keep them in sleeves etc. I'll never forget these clowns took my card into the back room to "look at it", came back after a few minutes with the same Pokemon card but not MY card. I immediately noticed the scratch, some edge wear etc. I said this wasn't my card, what did you do to it? They denied it. I didn't argue further because I was a kid but I remember being pretty frustrated.

Now almost two decades later, that same card is worth thousands upon thousands if it's graded and in great condition. I am so mad at myself that I let these clowns scam me back then. I recently found out they were still in business. New owner, family bought the kid the store or something. I called to ask a simple question regarding card sleeves, said I was an old customer etc. Guy (not sure if it was the owner) was super rude to me on the phone. I get the store was busy, but a 10 second response would have sufficed. Not surprised. Renewed interest in the old Pokemon cards made this resurface for me. This store has a sizable collection of content. Great for comic and Manga fans. As well as TCG players looking for a shop to frequent. The store boasts a staff who are genuinely interested in the hobbies that it pertains to and their attitudes are always down to earth. Anyone who enters is typically greeted and helped first thing after arriving.

I have only been here twice, but the customer service is always great and the environment has been fun and wholesome. I end up staying for hours each time. Partially due to card hunting, but also because there's space to hangout as you browse.

I'd also like to take a moment to shout out to one of the employees, Karen. She was very polite and helpful the last time me and friends visited. Even though it was a bit to ask at the moment. She kindly searched the store for items we came miles to check out. Which made the visit for us successful. Thank you very much Karen!
