I have shopped at this store since the day it opened. As a matter of fact when I moved to GA ... I was a downloader ONLY of anime, but now I buy all I can and not just the shows... the wall scrolls, figurines, manga and even the food .... it is fabulous. I am pleased with the store and how it has grown. I was ALWAYS welcome when I came in, from the very first when I went in to buy my first scroll, to the present when I only get in there to say Hi. :) I love how down to earth everyone is, and how I can go in, watch a new show (or old one) and eat a snack, talk with lovely people and watch the games being played. I play Magic and I have been to and even won a tourney there. If you are looking for a GREAT place to buy games, comics and/or anime and manga... please do go to the store. I promise that you will be pleased. The selection is always growing and if you don't see something, Please ... just ask.. maybe they can get it for you. :) The prices are fine for most things, all anime is pretty pricey... but there is always a sale going on. And the fact that you can pretty much ask them about anything and they will be friendly about answering you... well I will always shop here for that alone. So... again... if you are looking for an anime/gaming store in GA and you are close to McDonough, please do stop in and say "Hi" ... you will be surprised at the friendliness of the people, all of them, from the workers and owners to the patrons. I know I...
Read moreI called last week and asked if they could help me learn the basics of 40k since I finally decided to start playing with the armies I have been building. They said a worker would be happy to help as long as it was earlier in the week and definitely not Friday or the weekend due to how busy it was. Totally understandable, and I planned on driving down the following monday. They were awesome on the phone.
I box up my Orks and drive an hour to the store. There's one guy working and 4 guys gaming in the back. I mention how I called last week and was told to drop by and someone would help me, and he immediately yells over to the table if anyone was playing Warhammer later and asks them if they were playing later. He showed no signs of being interested to help, and I work nights so waiting around to crash another person's game wasn't feasible (and the player sounded apprehensive about a newbie stranger watching them play which is reasonable.)
So, 2 hours down the drain and I'm none the wiser on how to play. I might schedule to play a game here later with some friends, but this really left a sour taste in my mouth...
Read moreThe staff did not greet us as we came in. Had conversations amongst the three of them (I'm guessing two of them were there to hang out and one person was actually "working"). Was never asked if we were looking for anything in particular or just looking around; the person working there only talked to us when we asked a question. He was short and sort of sarcastic when my son asked if they sold any sort of toys there. The employee said "Everything here is technically a toy." Ummm... no, it is not. You have paint, books, cards, plushies, snacks, drinks, necklaces, and a few other things. I would not recommend this place to anyone and would not go back myself because of the customer service I received. Also, the employee received a phone call when we were there and decided to make fun of the call with the other two people there because the person asked if they sold anime pillow cases. I love anime and manga and so does my little boy, but this place did not make us feel welcomed...
