I went into this store for the first time on January 9th to look for a dress for an upcoming event. Let me say this; I will NEVER ENCOURAGE anyone to go this store. Hereâs my story: when I arrived no one was at the door or the register I waited a couple of mins and then called out and said hello. Two youngâs girls were there and they were helping find a dress (I did) I went to pay for the $300 dress marked down to $125 I believe but anyway after paying for the gown, the young lady asked me if I wanted to buy the garment bag for the dress for an additional $15 I said no a regular plastic garment bag would be fine. She said we donât have regular plastic garment bags I said what about the bag the dress was in, she said those bags stay in the store for display, I said, what are the option do I have she put out a bag that was half the size of a Walmart bag for a gown that is very very long. My problem with this is you sell gowns from 300 on up to 1500 or more and you donât supply customers with a courtesy garment bag. Even Davidâs bridal give you a garment bag plastic or not youâre gown is still covered. I could not believe this and I looked at the young lady and said to her you have got to be kidding me. I couldnât return address and get my money back because they have a sign that says all sales are final but you donât show appreciation for customers, paying their hard earned money in the store by wanting to charge additional for a garment bag, my question to the young lady is what is the alternative if I donât want to buy a back she said I have to carry it out on the hanger. To me, this is no consideration or appreciation for my business. I do my best to try and patronize our black on businesses but itâs unfortunate that they want to nickel and dime you so I have decided to tell everyone that I know about my experience in this boutique so that no one has to go through. That is not so much about a bag is the fact that you didnât have anything else to put my long gown in but a bag that was a size of a Kroger bag totally unacceptable so before anyone goes in there to buy anything please read my review. Response is unacceptable if you can afford to sell gowns for over $1500 dollars then spring for a roll of plastic garment bags like all the other respectable boutiques do! Also the cleaners, show your customers how much appreciate their patronage by spring for suitable covering for their purchases if they do not want to buy your bag! Have something for their purchase other then a tiny bag, your forcing customers to buy your garment bag and we should have a better option. I wonât come back and I am sharing this story with other people and white owned businesses who thinks that is so sad. I will continue to share this story with...
Read moreI went into the store on an Saturday and tried on several dresses. The sales lady was sweet and tried to meet my needs. The dress I liked best was too big and upon discussing the dress, the sales lady said she thought it came in a different color. She took my information and was to call me after the weekend to let me know if she could get the dress. Today itâs been a week and a half and still no call. When I called the store to check on the dress, the sales lady there ( different that original sales lady) didnât know anything about the situation. She put me on hold at least twice. I was later told that it was prom season, and they were very busy with getting dresses for those girls. She mentioned that some girls were needing dresses that night. When I told her how long it had been since I was in the store she said because I left she had to â deal with with the people in front of us before we they can deal with phone ordersâ. She said they had not forgotten about me (obviously they had). The facts are: 1. I was in the store. 2. They didnât have the right size dress. 3. Sales lady said she would let me know if she could get it in smaller size and different color and she didnât. 4. Today I was told they could get the dress, but I would have to pay for it first. So, because my dress was not urgent (needing it a little over 1 month away) I was not seen as a priority; I will need alterations on any dress purchased and was planning ahead to have time to get alterations completed and be prepared before the wedding and I told this to the sales staff when I was in the store. Bottom line: The store has beautiful dresses, and the sales staff is helpful and accommodating when you are in the store. If you place an order or are searching for an answer to a question, follow up yourself; donât wait for them...
Read moreMy daughter and I came here for her prom dress and from the moment we walked in, the service was amazing. The staff was attentive and informative. They have a nice selection of dresses, with multiple colors and decent price ranges. There was plenty of staff available to assist with trying on dresses. We were able to find a dress, and I like that for prom, they enter your name/school in the system so that no one else can buy your same dress in the same color. There is an option to pay for half of the cost upfront, and half later if you need to. We had to order my daughterâs size and the dress came within 4 days of ordering. When we picked her dress up, they allowed my daughter to try the dress on again to make sure it fit. They also have a list of tailors that they recommend. The only con I would say is that there are no refunds or exchanges, so you have to hope and pray the dress fits if you have to have it ordered. They do take measurements, and recommend the size you should get, but as we know, sizes can be tricky. I am thankful my daughterâs dress fit. I would definitely recommend...
