No curbside pickup available. Normally when I order curbside, I walk into the store as I feel it's unfair to make an associate walk out to my vehicle. Especially during the busy holiday season when they've already gathered my items for me. However, I had come out of the grocery store that night to a suprise dead car battery. Had planned to head over to Michael's after grocery shopping but had to wait 2 hours for roadside assistance to jump my battery. Knowing I would be risking my car not starting again if I shut it off, I called Michael's and explained the situation, asking if an associate would be available to bring my order to my car and if not I would try to come another day. The person I talked to said yes, someone could bring it to my car. When I got there and parked in the curbside pickup spot and called, I was then told the order would be at the front counter, that it was their busy holiday season (said in a shaming way) and they could not send an associate to my car. That if I couldn't come into the store, it would be better to come back on a day I could. THAT'S why I called BEFORE I went out of my way as I was headed home after a long ordeal with my car. Could have said it the first time. Say what you mean, and mean what you say please. And I don't need to be shamed when I've called ahead of time and asked courteously if it was a problem. Won't come back...
Read moreFriendly, clean, always helpful. I gave 5 stars because 3 of the 4 staff members I encountered were amazing. However, the one I didn't have a great experience with ill try my best to avoid from now on! When I asked the cashier for a tissue for my daughter she made a huge deal about it. She asked if she was sick. I said no her nose is just running. Cashier- "well I just had the flu 2 weeks ago its going around you know". Me- "Good to know, but this happens to her ever time she goes swimming for long time". Cashier- "well I have never heard of that. You sure she is not sick?" Me- "yes ma'am I am sure. This has happened every time she swims for an entire day almost." Cashier- then speaks to my daughter and tells her "do you feel sick honey?" My daughter- "No!" Cashier- "well if you feel sick honey, like really really sick you need to tell your mommy." I really disnt appreciate being talked to like I didn't know how to care for my child. Instead of.me being rude and letting her know I am a certified nurses assistant, medical assistant, and phlebotimist, I just prayed she would ring my one item up already so I could go and she could help the huge line behind me.
All asscociates I encountered besides her 5...
Read moreI’ve never left a review in my life but this made me super uncomfortable. My sister, friend, nephew and I went in last night at 8 (they close at 9, so plenty of time) we needed quite a few different random things. It was not easy to find what we were looking for but we were minding our own business, shopping like everyone else. We were there until about 8:30, the employees started acting like they were fed up, asking us rudely what we needed help finding, then I had 3 or 4 employees casually walk by us within just a couple minutes, lol, also whispering to each other on their microphones. Maybe they thought we were stealing or something. (Which obviously we were not and also never showed any signs of theft) I’ve worked retail before, I KNOW they must take necessary steps when having suspicions of theft, but it made us sooo uncomfortable. Or maybe they wanted to get out early and thought we were taking too much time even though we left at 8:30, but anyway, very awkward and very rude. We felt very rushed to leave and felt like we couldn’t continue shopping despite the fact they were still...
