Do not attempt to pawn or sell to this establishment before exhausting all other possible options and all other pawn locations. Do not take gold here. Do not take video games here. Sell your items yourself. Owners and employees are dishonest and/or highly incompetent. Owner tried to offer 1/8th to 1/10th of the current market rate for specific video games, which is about 75% less than other shops offered. I ended up selling them locally for 10 times their offer a few hours after leaving the shop. Gold - claimed my gold had less gold content than stamped. Offered me 30% of spot value, which is substantially below other gold buyers and pawn shops rate. Eventually had the gold tested twice, which tested higher than stamped value each time. Both shops offered 50% higher pawn and sell rates. For basic goods at reputable pawn shops, expect to receive a third of what the shop resells your items for. They lie and attempt dishonest tactics to make the customer believe their items are worth less in order to stretch that 1/3rd to 1/10th. Gold, you should be getting, at MINIMUM close to 70% of the melt value, an industry standard that other local locations follow, whether your gold is a broken earring or a solid gold bar. This establishment will lie to you and attempt every scummy tactic to get it for less. ( Young male employee, possibly owners child gave me a best we can do offer that was $75 less than an employee at the same shop gave me the next day, not knowing I had been in. Our Return Policy is you have 7 days to return an item if it doesn't function as it was sold. (items are sold as you see them if the item wasn't sold with an antenna for example that does not constitute broken as the item was sold as it sits on the shelf)
If the item did not turn on that would be a different story altogether, and we would definitely return the item, as long as the original receipt was provided, and the item was not originally sold As-Is. (and it was within a week)
If you believe that we went against policy and didn't return your item even though you had the receipt and we verified that it was not working, please come back in and we will attempt to make it right.
PS. (if you were the gentleman who tried to return a Dewalt radio because it did not get reception out in the country I am sorry but that does not constitute a broken piece of equipment as it functions perfectly fine in areas where there is...
Read moreThis place is great! They are very friendly and knowledgeable. They are pretty fair. The only complaint I have with this store is some of the time when they purchase an item from me I get told that they are only going to sell it for a certain amount and later when I see the item I've sold them for WAY MORE than what they said. I understand that they need to make a profit and there is costs to run a business but don't lie or take advantage of people. Obviously when you take something to a pawn shop you need the money and are pretty desperate, so the only thing I would ask or like to see changed is for them not to low-ball people. I do recommend this establishment and give it 5 stars. The low-ball offers are not all the time and they do negotiate with you and ultimately you don't have to take what they offer.
