Needles Studio — Local services in Los Altos

Starting anything new is a daunting and intimidating task for me but my instructor Kelly made my very first sewing class (ever) feel so approachable. There are written steps available in the classes but her verbal instructions and physical demonstrations of the sewing lessons were clear, easy to understand, and enjoyable. I did not feel rushed or forgotten about. Kelly is smart, hilarious, warm, efficient, and very knowledgeable. She is able to help multiple students in a short span of time. If someone had an issue with their sewing machine or wanted to know how to use their personal brand new sewing machine - she was able to quickly figure things out for you and show you how to manage whatever it was. Which was SO helpful for a novice like me. I was impressed by everything and will definitely be taking another class that Kelly teaches and I’m open to taking other classes she isn’t in as I’m sure the other instructors will be just as wonderful as her. What a special place Needles Studio is! I feel more confident about my future in sewing and am really proud of the two projects I created! Oh and I love the cotton linen and some sewing supplies I bought from Needles Studio recently. Thank you!!! ♥️ ps: the shop is so pretty and inviting. I love stepping...

I descended on Needles Studio with four loud teens on a weekday afternoon all looking for cosplay fabric. They found exactly what they needed, at good prices. Such a fabulous selection of fabrics - solids and fun (and tasteful) fabrics in mostly natural fibers! And I wish I'd gotten her name, but whoever helped us was kind and accepting and so helpful. We will definitely be back for this project and many others. (I spied adorable Rifle Paper co fabric for some home...

I only have positive things to say. The owner is welcoming, professional, knowledgeable, and kind. The studio has a great flow from a large group workspace, sewing machines, and sewing related merchandise. It is very clean, well organized, well lit, and is in an easy to find location (with free parking). I’ve taken a few classes and have thoroughly enjoyed each one for multiple reasons.
