Horrendous Experience – Complete Waste of Time

I booked a showing at 6401 Wilshire through Red Oak Leasing for 1pm on Saturday, May 10th. I received multiple emails asking me to confirm, first when I booked, again Saturday morning, and yet another asking me to confirm I'd be on time. I confirmed every single one.

Drove over an hour from Orange County, showed up 5 minutes early... only to be told by the front desk that no leasing agents work on Saturdays and they never do showings on weekends. The staff even checked with management, who told them to turn me away, despite knowing how far I’d travelled.

To make things worse, I got an email an hour later saying, “Great meeting you! Hope you enjoyed the showing. Want to reserve?” Are you kidding me?

This wasn’t a cheap unit—it’s a $12,000/month rental. If this is how they treat serious applicants, I can only imagine how bad it gets once you’re actually a tenant. Total lack of communication, professionalism, and respect for people’s time.

Let’s be clear, this wasn’t a scheduling misunderstanding, it was a complete operational failure. I confirmed multiple times through their system, including on the morning of the appointment. If you don’t do Saturday showings, don’t offer them. If your automated system is sending false confirmations and follow-ups, fix it. Reception staff blaming the process instead of owning the experience just reinforces the problem. He said there have been others turn up today too!

We recently moved into this apartment building, and my wife and I couldn’t be happier with our experience so far. The building itself is beautiful and well-maintained, and the staff have been incredibly responsive and accommodating. Any requests we’ve had have been handled promptly and with great attention to detail - everything is taken care of at a very high standard.

The amenities are top-notch: two saunas, a rooftop jacuzzi and pool, a well-equipped gym, and a spacious multi-level parking garage. The rooftop common area is a standout feature - it offers stunning views of Hollywood and is a perfect spot to relax, whether you’re enjoying a cozy evening by the fireplace or spending time with friends.

We’re especially grateful to the staff for making our move-in process smooth and stress-free. Huge thanks to our leasing agent, Ari, who was proactive, friendly, and truly client-oriented throughout the whole process. We feel very welcomed here and are excited to call...

Moved into this building 3 weeks ago and I’m honestly obsessed. From day one, I felt like I found my place. Super clean, everything’s so well set up, and the price actually makes sense for the quality, rare in LA! What I love most is how responsive and helpful the team is. Any issue, big or small, they’re on it right away. Parking is easy, there’s EV charging, great gym, peaceful pool & jacuzzi area, and chill common spaces you actually want to hang out in.
