This is now my second attempt to get into the Maple leaf lounge in LAX. The first time they were rude condescending and seemed to get joy out of finding out that we did not qualify to come in. However, upon more research, we do qualify with the Chase sapphire, reserve credit card. This time they seemed annoyed that I knew the information that would allow us in. My family of four, 3 of us have our own cards and were able to get scanned in however, my 16-year-old daughter apparently does not qualify She does not have her own credit card and they don’t allow guests. These two women seem to find sheer joy in telling us there was no way to get her in. Read moreWe arrived 15 minutes early before opening in the morning and walked around looking for this place. There is absolutely 0 signage to guide you to this restaurant. We walked down this very narrow creepy hallway and found no signage on any doors stating it was the air canada lounge so then other people were doing the same as us looking in this dark hallway for the restaurant. Then 10 minutes after the scheduled opening a door poops open and suddenly a big stand with a sign on it says air canada lounge. Well for goodness sakes why don't they have a sign on the outside of the door? I can't believe they let people wonder around looking for the place. And late to open on...
Read moreThat this took so long to renovate is disappointing for what we’re presented with. A drab, colorless lounge that had all the personality of the oatmeal served for breakfast.
Though the service was kind, we noticed that the staff at the welcome desk were visibly shivering - and we remarked how cold it felt in the lounge as well. They told us they have no control over the temp, which is disappointing because they were right under a vent. At least we could change seats and leave the lounge after an hour or so.
The elevator is archaic too; slow and creaky it looks more like a service elevator.
