This was a frustrating visit. We were asked if we were comfortable with a QR menu. We said absolutely. We looked over the menu and decided on salads w the assumption that it may be faster.
When ordering DIRECTLY FROM THE QR CODE the Cobb salad description gives the option of ranch or Bleu cheese.
It does NOT offer a way to choose one of them.
It DOES offer a "dressing on the side" option.
I hate Bleu cheese so I said on the side. We were on our own wo a person to ask, otherwise, I'd have done that! My husband asked for no tomatoes and didn't care about the dressing. His was fine. Mine had no dressing which was to be expected. When I asked for the dressing that didn't come out w the salad, she said it came on it. I said no because I asked for it on the side. She looked kinda dumbfounded for a second and mumbled that she'd bring it out.
It never came.
We watched her make several back and forth trips and even cleared a table. No dressing.
By this point my husband had mostly finished his salad. I finished it for him while mine sat untouched.
Another 5 minutes and she went past us to talk to someone at the counter. On her return trip I stopped her and asked her who I would talk to about a refund since I paid on my phone when I ordered via QR code. She looked at me and said "uh, that would be me. I'll get you a refund." She walked away. Waited another 5 minutes for her to come back and tell me the refund was processed.
I have no receipts because I admittedly didn't click that I needed one when I ordered. I also didn't get one for the processed refund--one wasn't offered.
This was a superbly disappointing experience unless what you're looking for is subpar service and a dry $20 salad.
Oh, and an automatic 20% is added for gratuities when you 'dine in'

Read moreEric was our server tonight at LAX airport...I asked where I could provide a review. The restaurant was very busy when we arrived, and we were seated in a timely manner. I am a vegetarian and wanted to order the chicken on the side from the two dishes that my husband and I were going to split. Eric said no problem and had another employee help me with the order rather than me trying to do it on my phone, which would not allow me to order the chicken on the side. We were served two of our favorite dishes and they were delicious as usual from our prior experience with California Pizza Kitchen. What I was so struck by was listening to Eric's interaction with all the customers as we sat and enjoyed our meal. Most service at airports is just so so. The people are having to deal with travelers who are often tired and maybe not always pleasant to deal with. Eric joyfully assisted everyone and TRULY added to a wonderful experience dining in your restaurant during our layover at LAX. I hope he is GREATLY APPRECIATED and considered a valuable asset to California Pizza Kitchen. You might think I am his mom by this rave review that I am leaving, but I am not. I have never met Eric before, I just have a great appreciation for the positive energy that he brings to the world and especially to this environment where he works at the airport!!! And I can only imagine that he is a favorite of your other employees here for them...

I’m writing to express my disappointment with a recent dining experience at your “LAX Terminal 6”location on 5/27/2025.
Despite being charged a 20% service charge, the quality of service was extremely poor. After being seated, my drink did not arrive for over 30 minutes, and we were not provided any plates even though we ordered a salad and a pizza to share. My partner’s drink also never came until I personally followed up.
Worse still, two servers were visibly standing by the register station, casually chatting with each other instead of attending to guests. When we did interact with the staff, the attitude was dismissive and gave the impression that they simply didn’t care. This level of indifference from the service team was both frustrating and unacceptable.
I had expected far better from a brand like CPK. Based on this experience, I will not be returning to this location and plan to share my experience on social media so others are aware.
I hope this feedback prompts a serious review of the service standards and staff training at this location. I would appreciate a response...
