First off, the location was great! It was only a 5 minute walk to Abbott Kinney (the street where all the shops are) and a 5 minute walk to the beach. There was some nice restaurants also within walking distance. That wraps up all the pros.
So to start off the cons, when we booked the hotel/condo, the photos of our room showed a couch, kitchen area with an oven, and the king bed in a separate room. The pictures looked great. When we got to the hotel/condo it wasn't like anything that was pictured. Actually out of the 63 pictures on the booking website we used, our room wasn't pictured at all.
When we arrived, it was almost dark outside and my wife and I were concerned about the safety of our family because of the amount of homeless people hanging out around our condo. Parking was out in the snug back alley way and we were worried our car was going to get towed away because of the multiple signs that was up saying if we were blocking the alley at all, we would be towed.
When we got into our room, we were shocked at how small it was. The majority of the room was filled up with the king size bed with a foot of space around the left side and foot of the bed. The hotel/condo said they could accommodate our family with a roll away bed on the booking site but even if we did get a roll away bed, it wouldn't be able to fit in our room. The hot side wasn't working properly in the bathroom along with the tub drain.
The "kitchen" area was a small cupboard that included a microwave and a mini fridge. No oven as pictured.
The next morning after our entire family slept in the king size bed, we decided to pack up. We put everything in the car and I left my bluetooth headphones to charge while we walked around.
After our walk, my family and I came back to get my headphones and call them to check out. It was before 10 am when we got back to the hotel/condo. House keeping had been there already and my headphones were gone.
I called to ask the owner/hotel manager if they could ask the house keeping for my headphones and also to tell them that we weren't happy with the misleading pictures of our hotel/condo and we're upset that we paid more for 1 night in Venice Beach then we did for 3 nights in Disneyland. The manager said he would call me right back about my headphones.
2 days later I decided to call the manager back since no one had contacted me. He assured me that house keeping didn't take my headphone and I must have misplaced them. He then told me that he was sorry to hear that I wasn't happy with my stay but there wasn't anything he was going to do for me.
Please be careful if you decide to book with these people. They have no office on site and were not easy to work with at all. I wouldn't recommend this...
Read moreTHIS PLACE IS AWFUL. PLEASE DO NOT BOOK. We booked with Expedia and expected an apartment with a living room, bedroom, and full kitchen. It is also advertised as beach front. We checked in to find ourselves in a tiny studio that barely fits the king size bed and leaves little room for anything else. The kitchen is equipped with a laughably small refrigerator and microwave. Beach front is a joke of an advertisement; we were a half a mile away from the beach. Even worse, we were smack in the middle of a tent town (a homeless neighborhood). The walk to the beach is directly through a neighborhood of at least 100 homeless people. Location felt very unsafe and not all gates to the property locked. We only stayed one night because we checked in too late to change accommodations. We woke up and immediately switched location. Hotel management is rude, unsympathetic, and unapologetic. Refusing to make any amends for the almost inhumane accommodations. I would never book here again, 0/10 recommend. Scummy people scamming vacationers who do not...
Read moreStayed here for a week. Location was good enough to walk to the beach or to get one of the many electric scooters parked along the road to ride down to the restaurants that were a bit too far to walk to. The free parking that’s advertised is good, however be aware that many of the spots are only for compact cars (which we were only told days before arriving) - even a guest in a Dodge Charger had trouble swinging his car into a space. We had a Jeep Wrangler and luckily the dedicated parking space we had for our room was perfect to fit it, however if we had booked a different room with a different dedicated parking space we would’ve been parking on the street since we wouldn’t have fit in the spot. Other than that, we didn’t have any issues here. Good enough spot for a quick visit to LA. I recommend going down to Noah’s NY Bagels for...
