On 09/26/2025 I entered this store and purchased 16 food items this includes 4 Khazana Organic Lemon Basmati Rice for 0.99 each. I checked out at 9:26am at register #4 Cashier 0270 Dayra Aguilar who rung up the total price at $32.59 which raised a red flag because that's not what I calculated when shopping. She asked me do you want my receipt and I stated yes and examined the receipt on the outside of the parking lot side door and immediately returned to Dayra Aguilar to inform her that she charged me $2.49 4 times for Basmati Rice that was only 0.99 each and she kept telling me I was wrong but I am 100% sure I was right about what the label side because I checked the last 4 numbers on the bar code of the price tag and the product which matched before placing it in the basket. So I didn't want to argue with her and hold up the line so I went home and immediately returned to get the price tag. As I was coming down the stairs Dayra Aguilar saw me and immediately rushed down aisle 4. I went down aisle 5 to retrieve the product and price tag but they both had disappeared. I asked the stock person on that aisle "what happened to the 2 boxes of rice that was up here?" and he immediately said "Oh the Organic rice?" and I replied "yes" and he pointed to 2 boxes that was on the floor and I then asked him "where is the price tag that was under it?" and he replied "Someone came and got it" but refused to tell me who. So I told him "I know exactly who it was". Dayra Aguilar removed the price tag and the 2 boxes of ptoducts from the shelves to hide the illegal activity. Grocery Outlet is scamming customers out of money. This is not the first time this happened to me at this store. I purchased bacon before and the price tag said ($1.97 was $18.99) I said to myself "wow that's a great deal" and grabbed it, but when I got to the register the cashier rung up $18.99 I immediately noticed because I only purchased a couple of items with it. So I informed the cashier and the cashier proceeded to try to convince me that it was $18.99, So I had gone to the meat section to get the price tag and the price tag said $1.97 with the matching bar codes and I gave it to the cashier and was alowed tonmake the purchase. If customers don't check their receipts they get scammed, this is why the cashier ask the customers "Do you want your receipt?" If you say no then you can never check your receipt and i assume most people says "No" but I always say "yes" I contacted via email abc7news.com/7onyourside concerning this matter...
Read moreI so enjoy shopping at Grocery Outlet, one never knows what tasty goodies will be in the store from week to week. There is always an excellent variety of interesting cheeses and salami, good bargains on beer and wine, milk, half & half and other dairy products (yogurt, cottage cheese, cream cheese, etc., and the aforementioned quality cheeses), olives, artichoke hearts, and other yummies to make a lovely antipasto platter, and so many other products too numerous to mention. The deal with this market is that the products are ever changing; Grocery Outlet negotiates the best price for their products, but those products are not always available; some things are constant, and others rotate in and out, or come in and when they're gone, they're gone! The produce and meat sections are hit and miss; sometimes it's good, sometimes it's just so-so. But for basic veggies like onions and garlic, celery and bell peppers, potatoes and tomatoes, it's usually good. I always have a lot of fun when I shop there, going up and down the aisles, exploring, finding new items to try. I'm adding a little edit here; I'm not taking a star away (this time!), but most of the people who used to work here are gone, so the vibe isn't quite as good, and they seem not to have as many unique and interesting items as before, and while their prices are still good, especially for dairy and most of the fresh produce, and bread, unless a product is about to expire, or it's a super deal, the prices are more in line with the regular markets, but still a bit less expensive. Having a Grocery Outlet in this part of the neighborhood is super convenient, so it's still worth...
Read moreI just moved to the neighborhood and was excited to check this place out as it’s the closest grocery to me. All I came for were disposable aluminum sheet pans for thanksgiving tomorrow. The line was long at check out so I left the pans thinking I’ll come back later when I have more time. I leave the store through the garage and am out on the sidewalk when two men came up behind and asked for “a recipe for that item”. I stop dead in tracks and ask what item. They’re both standing intimidatingly close to me. I quickly open my bag to show I don’t have anything. He looks and realizes I don’t have anything. He says alright like I can go but I insist if he wants to double check. He says no and then he nods to someone in front of us only for me to realize there’s a 3rd security guard. They sent the entire security staff to stop me on the street.
I am humiliated. I am legitimately humiliated. This was so embarrassing. Anyone who might have seen this in my new neighborhood might now think I’m a shoplifter. Other store employees who just saw the interaction from afar now must think I’m a shoplifter. This was such an embarrassing welcome to the neighborhood. I googled and saw there’s a Ralph’s a couple blocks away downtown. I’ll be going there.
I cannot believe how embarrassing this was for me. Maybe hire better...
