It’s such a peaceful and green place smack dab on 5th and flower in the midst of congested traffic, cones for sidewalks, business people rushing, and franchised food places lining the streets.
A true respite. Picnic on the fake grass, find a bench in the shade (if you can lol) wander the landscaping of trees and concrete. Masterpieces of innovative architecture. Eat your lunch here or plan a day trip.
These gardens surround the entrance to the Los Angeles Central Library. There are no gates and it can be walked through 24-7. Access is direct from the sidewalk.
Parking would be metered street only or a nearby lot for a steep price so perhaps check out the worlds shortest railway around the corner for $1-$2 as well as explore the library’s huge collection.
