Brasil Kiss Coffeebar — Restaurant in Los Angeles

Really cool atmosphere and service. They have intelligensia coffee and the pao de queijo sliders were amazing. It's a cheesy bread with an american style breakfast. These are a must!

The lady working the counter was really sweet and helpful. I didn't get a sense of them trying to rush you to order. She talked with all the customers and made sure everything was ok.

The tuna melt was delicious - what stood out the most was the dried berry inside of the tuna. It reminded me of eating tuna fish sandwiches as a kid when people put relish inside of it. A bit of sweet really complimented the sandwich.

There is a wide variety of cooked pastries - coxinha(if you've been to porto's and eaten those potato balls, think of these as those on steroids), empananda and something that looked like a pot pie. The filling was either shredded chicken with green onions, shredded beef or tomato and mozzarella. My favorite of the three is the empanada because the bread was very similar to portuguese sweet bread so you got the savory with a touch of sweet.

I really like that whatever filling I got, chicken, beef, tuna you can see that it's all what it is and not one of those weird rubbery meat type product.

I was encouraged to use the app, there's a discount. I had issues signing up with the app (should've done it before actually deciding to order breakfast) and then after that long process of registering, the order went through, then I saw the coupon. Maybe it's only applied after signing up? Because that isn't how I understood it esp. having been told to download last Sun. What I got before was the Brazilian omelette & batida de maracuja. Both were not so good. The omelette had heart of palm which I love but it had a hard outer layer which was chewy, couldn't eat it.

This morning however, aside from having issues signing up with the app, then waiting awhile before going to get my order, the order not even received (?) so I ended up having to wait even longer (although that meant my food would be fresh?) for my Brazilian breakfast slider. Despite all the issues downloading the app, waiting for my order (felt like I wasn't being attended to), in the end the Brazilian slider was delicious! I was going to let this be my last time ever going, but the slider changed my mind. I definitely will not be using the app, screw the ridiculous coupon! Maybe don't advertise it or push to have people download it, because I certainly did not...

AWFUL experience. They just lost a regular customer. I've been going here for a couple of years since I live right across the street. Decided to go there to study one morning with a friend and the lady at the counter saw my friend with a coffee mug. She told him that he would need to order something so he said that he was looking at the menu already and he'll be up to order in one second. When I got my food, she then decided to YELL, REPRIMAND, and BERATE my friend about how no outside food is allowed and how he can't just take up an entire table to study and not order anything and this is how coffee shops are and etc etc. - this was a scene she created, infront of customers in the place and customers in line, and my friend was embarrassed. If this is the customer service they have here, then they need to do a whole staff reevaluation. My friend already understood, confirmed and TOLD her that he was looking at the menu so I don't understand why she had to embarrass him like that. It was unnecessary and uncalled for and one of those types of experiences that really shift your perspective on a place despite how much you've loved it for so long. I'm very...
