Basically long story short there was a small error we made when inputting one of the people in our party's name. But at that point we were already early like an hour or two before the flight so we were oh this fine. BUT it, in fact, was not fine because these employees and their slow hands typed like Flash from Zootopia. Then they had the audacity to tell us that it was Expedia's problem (since we had booked with Expedia) and tell US to call Expedia. Thus, after a long grueling call Expedia was like yeah that's not our problem that's JetBlues. So we went back to front desk and they said they can't fix it but they tried since they lazily called who knows who. And then WE called JetBlue and got the problem fixed ourselves. Then by that time it was already getting late and the front desk lady said that we were out of time and essentially kicked us off that flight when we had enough time since the lines were super short during that time. Then, they rebooked my grandparents to another flight but they don't speak English so we were extremely hesitant to let them go on their own. But the flight was eventually rescheduled with a seventy-five dollar fee. And my parents and I couldn't get into that flight because ONCE AGAIN those slow hands that typed slower than Flash couldn't input our information into a ticket fast enough. So we arrived at 8:00 pm for an 9:35 pm flight then a 11:35 pm flight. And here I am typing out an angry review where I say JetBlue is worse than my Spirit experience since at least it was easier to catch those flights as they often leave late and their attitudes were better (it's 12:40 now!!). Additionally, this adds on to the tradition of me saying we should have just booked delta and payed the overall same amount of money with so much less emotional damage, time wasted, and the need for FREE therapy. And now I need a happy meal from Macdonalds to make myself feel better about missing a vacation flight and having to drive another hour+ to come to LAX (at least we don't drive a gas car anymore...). OH I JUST REMEMBERED: the lady there was schooling us near the end saying we should have come earlier and also that we have to rebook off of Expedia when they could have done that easily. Except we did come early so maybe we should have been there since the morning for an afternoon flight…. Anyways let's spread...
Read moreJetBlue canceled my direct flight and put me on a much longer flight with a layer over so I missed my connection and had to stay overnight in LA. I know airlines are within their "rights" to do this. But it's how it was handled. The details: I was on a direct flight from San Jose in Costa Rica to LAX where I had a connecting flight to PHX. They canceled the direct flight to lax and instead routed me through fort Lauderdale to lax getting me in at 10.45pm after the last flights back to PHX. So I had to pay for a hotel in LA and catch a flight out the next day. I called JetBlue (after 1hr 15min on hold I spoke to someone) and explained the situation. They said I could cancel the ticket and get a refund. At this point alternative flights were far too expensive for that to be an option. I asked if they could fly me from fort Lauderdale into PHX since the flight change meant I missed my connection and would need to stay overnight in LA. They said they could not do that and could only fly me into LA because that was the destination on the original ticket. I understand that those were the terms of the ticket but in situations like this airlines can easily be flexible and unless the fort Lauderdale flight into Phoenix was full there really was no reason why they could not do that other than they had to stick to their rules. Where they cancel a flight and leave you up @#$& creek a paddle, they should show some flexibility and goodwill to customers. I sent an email to JetBlue explaining the situation. In their reply they stated "you are more than welcome to request a change to another flight that could be more suitable to you". I did that and...
Read moreWe used to fly only jetblue. They were awesome, friendly, and have great snacks. Well a year ago my father passed away, and I had to fly to New Orleans. My flight was late, leaving RDU dues to not having a flight crew. I got to Boston and ran as fast as i could to see my next flight already boarded and pulling away. The people at the desk said i would have to go to the people at the service counter. I go back to the service counter, and the guy tells me that was the last flight of the day to New Orleans. I tell him i needed to get there today and it isnt my fault that the plane was almost two hours late leaving RDU. He proceeded to tell me that if i had purchased my ticket it would have had my finial destination as new orleans. So since i used my fly miles, it showed as 2 different tickets, first from RDU to Boston, then the second from Boston to New Orleans. So they didnt hold the next plane a couple of minutes because of my flight being late. He was kind of rude and acted like he did not care. It was as if because I used miles instead of cash/card, i wasn't as important. They had to put me on a later flight to new york, then to new orleans. I only arrived in new orleans about 5 hours late. Then the night before my return they canceled my flight due to weather up north. So a couple more days of hotel and rental car. Bad experience all around. We used the rest of our fly miles and now cutting up the jet blue car and starting to us a different airline.
