Let’s talk about Slapfish at LAX. You’d think a place that calls itself a “modern seafood shack” in a major airport would serve something vaguely fresh or filling for the premium price. Instead, I got served what can only be described as a deli-cup of sadness.

Here’s what $31 bought me: • One small square of salmon – dry, aggressively overcooked, possibly once frozen in 2018. • A mound of plain shredded cabbage – not a slaw, not seasoned, just sad, raw cabbage. Like someone dumped coleslaw mix and forgot the “slaw.” • Two thin radish slices – for the illusion of “gourmet.” • A few pink pickled onions – fine, but not enough to distract from the rest. • A dusting of chives and cilantro – because someone in the kitchen went to a Chipotle once. • No real sauce, no dressing, no grains, no warmth.

This wasn’t a bowl. It was a $5 side salad with a stingy protein add-on, dressed up in a black plastic container and sold to you at markup like you’re some tired traveler who’ll eat anything. (Which, to be fair, I was. Never again.)

Final Verdict:

This is airport scam cuisine at its finest. It’s a disgrace to seafood and to bowls everywhere. Slapfish should slap themselves for charging $31 for this ripoff. You’ve...

I was a big big fan of this restaurant. Always looked forward to visit when passing through Delta terminal to order either the Lobster roll or the Clobster grilled cheese sandwich. Those are the best sandwiches I have ever tasted in the world. Unfortunately I find the staff very rude and abusive. Let me explain the reasons. First of all, in the last year the management charges by default 18% tip without asking. I’m in favor of leaving a good tip when the service deserves that tip; but the amount depends on the quality of the service. And the last three times, the service and attitude was very very bad. They don’t care about the service because the 18% tip is included no matter the service. Reason 2. I understand the seafood price varies daily, but the increase in the price the last year, has rocketed in a ridiculous way. (You can see on the posts in the reviews that the price of the lobster roll is about 20 dollars, and now the actual price is 35 dollars. I’m willing to pay that price because the sandwich is worth it. What I’m not willing to pay is the 18% tip for such a poor service. Hope the management can...

I had the fish and chips. It was good. The fries were crisp and hot. The fish were small, and there were two of them, but they were sufficiently filling and not too greasy. They offer a double portion if the two pieces are insufficient, but the fries were quite large, so all in all it got the job done for me.

The ordering system is a little weird in that you can order online, thru a kiosk (ipad looking interfaces by the entrance), or order at the counter. People ordering at the counter are called by number and everyone else is called by name.

They almost forgot our drinks, so do pay attention to your order.

We hung out there for nearly an hour, and had a couple of drinks. The cocktail selection is fairly limited, but they pour strong. I don't know if it was necessarily worth the 18 dollars each drink cost... But again, it got the job done. 😅

I was thankful for a brief reprieve from the super spreader event they call terminal 2 more so than I was impressed with the food/drinks. Thanks for providing a place to hang in...

In terminal 3, the Delta wing.Firstly, you need to know that for whatever you purchase here, you will pay a 20% “gratuity” fee!!! Greasy, right out of freezer to feep fryer. When outside the airport, despite their horrendous excuses for beer,Slapfish has remained one of my favorite fast food restaurants for years. At this location however, it is just as disappointing as every other “restaurant” at an american airport. With the exception of certain private lounges, it seems to be some sort of rule that dining at the airport needs to be a miserable and costly experience . The fish and chips are nothing like what you would get at a Slapfish location in the street. Extremely generic and not battered on premises. Staff attentive and nice.
