K salon — Local services in Los Angeles

First and foremost it was easy to get a same day appointment with K Salon. All I needed was a haircut, they had a spot; so, I got a same day appointment. K Salon provides you with parking and therefore, if you're not getting dropped off; it's nice to know there's a spot for your car.

When you go in, you're greeted by Ms. Kyunghee, Mr. Kim (her husband), and the staff for the day. Mr. Kim assists with a lot of the clients; on that day he shampooed and dried my hair. He is very gentle with the wash and makes sure that the water is just right. After that, Ms. Kyunghee will approach you and ask what you want done to your hair and I have to say, I love how she knew exactly what I wanted to do with my hair. I have been told that I have a "mango" shaped face and therefore, the layered cut-as seen on the photo-is how I've always styled my hair. But for the first time in years, Ms. Kyunghee is the ONLY one who's been able to understand how I wanted it done. In addition to this, she even made suggestions that I normally already request. She even explained that she was going to cut it short enough to get rid of the dried and brittle parts of my hair. Which was great.

After the haircut, Mr. Kim dried and styled my hair (as seen on the photo). I love that every moment he got he taught me how to use the product in my hair, how to use a straightener/curler, and importantly how to care for my hair. I probably should've mentioned that I dyed my hair, so the damage from that is what he was teaching me to ensure my hair would grow healthy. So, as you'll see in the photos; my hai looks absolutely amazing.

As a bonus Ms. Kyunghee and Mr. Kim offer hot/cold drinks. Most of all, Ms. Kyunghee bakes and she will have pastries for you as you receive service.

I desperately needed my hair done. The last time I had it done was over 5 years ago. Originally, I was looking to the c style perm, which is how I came across Kyung hee’s profile. The appointment was easy to make, I reached out to the number listed via text and they were quick to reply. I was welcomed with such friendly service. I wanted to do a subtle change so we talked about doing some partial highlights. Kyung Hee was very knowledgeable and asked about my hair history to make sure the color comes out exactly like the picture I showed her. I didn’t end up doing the perm because they told me in order to get my highlights, I had to bleach my hair. I’m glad they informed me about this reaction because my hair would’ve been so fried. After being blonde for 8 years, I was finally ready to say goodbye—and I’m so glad I came here for the transition! It was my first time, and Kyunghee and everyone on the team were incredibly kind and welcoming.

My hair has been through a lot from years of bleaching, so I was honestly worried about the damage. But the results are incredible! The color and overall effect exceeded my expectations. The transition looks so natural and seamless—exactly what I asked for, and even better.
