6XS COFFEE — Restaurant in Los Angeles

6xs Coffee is a small and inconspicuous coffee shop near the Western metro station. The interior decor is thoughtful, though not very bright. As one gets further inside the shop, it gets dimmer and quieter. I have yet to see animated conversations or even laptop working here, most people come to take a quick break, and that's what I did too.

I've been to 6xs a few times and each time I had a different special drink. My favorite drink out of the four I had is "Oreo Latte", a chocolatey cream top latte with chunky Oreo crumbs. The crunchiness makes a big difference for me. It's what a special drink should be. Cinnamon latte is the laziest special drink I can take because at least cinnamon powder has a strong, distinct scent that creates a different experience. That's basically "La Dunes" at 6xs, a vanilla latte with cinnamon sugar, which I also enjoyed.

On the other hand, 6xs Coffee's signature drink, the Malibu, didn't impress me. It uses a bright blue drink "Blue Curacao" for the iced latte base and the resulting look is quite flashy. In contrast, if I just close my eyes, the coffee tastes like an iced latte with generic sweetness and doesn't spark much special feeling from me. The "6xs Cloud" feels a bit generic as well, not that it's bad, but you can get it from literally any Koreatown or Korean-run...

6xs Coffee is a cute little coffee shop located in the heart of Ktown between Oxford ave and W 6th street. They’re newly opened shop that serve coffee and baked pastries. I came here on a cool Friday morning and was warmly greeted by staff. Interior vibe was very warm and I couldn’t help but ogle at their modern style decor. Inside was surprisingly spacious and perfect for social distancing. Tables/chairs were far from each other while you wait for your order. Moreover, it’s very neat, organized and well lit. They have a plethora of coffee and pastries on their menu. After a few minutes of looking at their list, I ordered their signature Cold Brew and Croissant. I love every sip and bite. Cold brew was perfectly made and the Croissant was puffy and soft. Prices were reasonable and competitive for Ktown. Metered street parking only. Overall, I had a good order experience and a great drink/pastry. I highly recommend this cute...

Iced Decaf Malibu Latte ($6.50) + Oat Milk ($0.50): I didn't know what to expect but this was delicious & unique! I sipped the layers seperately to see what they tasted like before I mixed them up. The blue Curacao was really sweet while the coffee was really strong & slightly bitter. The Malibu Latte definitely needs to be mixed up for the perfect balance. You do get that subtle hint of orange which was nice since I was afraid the orange flavor would be overpowering.

Iced 6xs Mello ($6.50): I took a sip of my friend's drink and it was so good! The cream on top was so fluffy that it reminded me of a cloud. There's no need to mix the drink like the Malibu Latte. You sip the coffee through the cream which will add sweetness...
