*WARNING If you have a vehicle, don’t park at little Tokyo mall public parking place. Last night, we saw the strange guy stand front of the parking entrance and let us to follow him that introduces he is the security guy and the payment machine broken so will let us know where to pay parking fee. He let us to follow the underground of the mall and we felt we could be in a danger so we just ran away from him through building staircase to run hard to my car. And you know what, payment machine works pretty normal and yes the guy might be homeless or gang or something else who knows? And when we get out of the building, I saw the guy talked with the women who wearing a security clothes. I don’t know I was too scared so didn’t pay attention a detail but it seems they are chill like I even unsure that lady is really security person. Just be aware of ppl like these especially in DTLA don’t trust anyone and don’t follow anyone. Don’t trust anyone who introduced themselves as ‘security- ‘PE’ like that. If you need to bring a car, just use a street parking front of the restaurant at little Tokyo you want to visit or use uber(highly recommended). This two story mall is located right next to the Japanese Village Plaza and contains a variety of stores I feel anybody into Otaku culture would love to visit. The first floor contains a variety of shops from 'Entertainment Hobby Shop JUNGLE' Japanese shop originally from Osaka, these stores contain ton of Japanese collectors items, figures, and more. It's a lot of fun to find pretty much anything you want and each store has a theme of different Otaku culture - from Anime to Kaiju movies - there's a lot. These stores are often packed. A cosplay shop is also available for those looking for cosplay as their favorite anime protagonist. There's also a small retro gaming store that almost has exclusively Japanese games. Famicom, Super Famicom, PlayStation, PlayStation 2, Sega Dreamcast, and more. This store also has some latest releases with Ps5 as well. There's also a funk pop store which is a little out of place. For those who collect cards, they have a store as well for you.

Read moreWhen exiting the parking garage on 6/26/21, we waited in a queue of cars to get to the exit for more than 30 minutes. All signs in the parking garage indicated that parking tickets were to be paid at the pay station within the mall, but the pay station in the mall directed us to pay at the exit. Only one gate was open at the exit, which is why cars were creeping so slowly out of the garage. When finally attendants arrived to assist, they were manually working the automatic payment system for each car, and some attendants had to physically lift the gate for cars to exit. They should have just opened the gates to allow all cars waiting through. Avoid this...
