Update: Mens Wearhouse customer care went above and beyond to make this situation right. While the experience at the store was less than ideal I’d say my opinion of Men’s Wearhouse is greatly improved since the original review I posted.
Original review:
Sales guy talked me into buying the wrong sized shirt after I asked for a particular size. I went overseas with the shirt and had to wear it. Fit like wearing a parachute. So embarrassing. I came back trying to get an exchange and the manager reminded repeatedly about the policy of not exchanging anything that’s been worn. I wasn’t rude but expressed my extreme disappointment with the situation. I mentioned that I’d been a customer for many years (25 I figured out today) and that Ive spent thousands and thousands of dollars on suits for myself and my sons. Got an amazing response: “if you’ve been a customer that long then you know our policy”. I was just trying to exchange an overpriced shirt for another that would fit me, not asking for money back.
Maybe I’m crazy but I think it’s not a crazy idea to help loyal customers and worth making exceptions to policies from time to time. It’s easy to fall back on policy and it’s also incredibly lazy. Mens Wearhouse could have done better in this situation.
I don’t recommend this location or any Mens Wearhouse for that matter. There are a lot of options and no point shopping somewhere where they have so little regard for long term customers or new customers for that matter. If I owned a business and trusted a manager to run it for me and found out they treated someone so abominably I’d send them packing really quickly.
I’d like to believe they’ll see this and try to make it right but I’m not gonna hold my breath. Save your money and...
Read moreBUYER BE AWARE. I WOULD NEVER STEP IN OR DEAL WITH MEN’S WEARHOUSE AGAIN. I WISH I COULD GIVE MINUS RATING. We rented 3 suites for just about $600 for my son’s wedding and I had a very disappointing experience at the Men’s Wearhouse in Woodland Hills just five days before the wedding. When I went to pick up my suit, I was handed one that was not only wrinkled but clearly didn’t fit. It honestly looked like it had already been worn by someone else before and hadn’t been dry cleaned or pressed.
When I pointed this out, the staff member she quickly took it to the back and said she would have it pressed. However, the bigger issue was the fit — the pants were too long, the sleeves were too long, and I couldn’t even button the jacket. When I raised my concerns, I was told, “It’s a rental, and we can’t do anything about it.” I was offered a larger size but was warned that it might look awkward in the shoulders. When I pointed out the sign in the store that said “Our tailors won't settle for anything less than your perfect fit” in the rental area of the store, the staff grinned and said rentals would never fit perfectly. Overall, this experience was frustrating and unacceptable, especially so close to a major event. When all three of us picked up our suits separately 2 days before the event we realized that our cuff links were different colors and the pants didn’t have black stripes as it was promised. I expected much better service and preparation. The company probably rented out the same suit 100+ times & are laughing to the bank with my hard earned money. I doubt they will consider even contacting me, but if in case here is the reservation #:...
Read moreIf I could give them negative 100 stars I would. I am not only upset with this location but the entire company as a whole. My husband and I came here before choosing any of Men's Wearhouse's other competitors because of their reputable name. It was a complete MISTAKE this place isn't Men's Wearhouse it's more like Men's Where Is My Suit. First off they got my wedding date wrong four times in 4 locations. First one was at this location, second was at the Northridge location when one my our groomsmen went to get sized, third and Fort Wayne, IN by another groomsmen, forth in Baltimore, MD. After four times the dates were finally fixed....why couldn't they get this right the first time! 3 days before the wedding we confirmed all of the suits and they hung up on me and my family members...what kind of service is this...I had to take time out of my crazy schedule to drive out to this location and figure out what was going on and why I was hung up on... Just what I thought no one was at the store!!! DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT GET YOUR SUITS AT MEN'S WAREHOUSE FOR YOUR GROOM AND WEDDING PARTY!!! Might I also add that they also made my husband drive from Woodland Hills, CA to Glendale, CA (45min to 1hr drive) to pick up his bow tie.... Why is it that we just wasted our time and gas to drive and get something that is their...
