This place has really changed and I am sorry to say we will NEVER be back!!!!! Food was cold bread tasted like it was frozen for months. My daughter got there at 1:30 she was never offered bread or drinks all the rest of the family got there at 2:15 not til 2:30 were we offered any drinks we had to ask for bread. Our long time waiter was nervous and could not remember our drink orders especially we had Lil kids and never offered refills. He used to be so kind and always ready to serve us by 2:45 a man with red hair new to us took our orders the orders were pretty much all the same and on the lunch special menu. Beans were spoiled rice was cold and hard, 6 shredded beef dishes, 4 chicken plates, 1 chicken with yellow rice, vegetarian plate and chicken wings 10 drinks Almost 400.00 we spent. We were all so sad thought for sure this must have been a mistake. Each family paid for their own orders which 2 families only had 2 plates. Mine was $64.00 2 shredded beef and 1 lemonade. My parents $62.00 1 seasoned beef, 1 chicken and 2 lemonade. This included a pre-gratuity. I'm writing this review to tell Versailles we will not be returning and we are so very sad. We celebrated Birthdays and new beginings. The menu clearly says lunch special til 3pm when we discussed this with the red hair man he stated the ordered was not put into the system til 3:15. The last meal was ordered at 2:52pm. The reason I'm writing this review a week later is because we got together again and spoke how disappointed we all were. We said it must be under new management they use to welcome us with happy faces giving my mom a hug and this time they acted as though it was our...
Read moreI'm a long term customer along with family and friends. Today will be our last time coming. We had bad service and the regular dish that we regularly order was disgusting, the pork was mooshy and stinky. We ordered empanadas for the first time and they tasted old and were hard as a rock. The bus boy came to our table to pick up the the plates which still had most of the food leftover. "The chicken was dry". The worse thing was when our waiter (Rafael Montes) gave us the check I nicely expressed my opinion on the food and the service he gave us. Instead of acknowledging he proceeded to be rude and said that he had the right to defend himself, which was out of place, I was very polite to him. He never apologized or even acknowledged my concern, he claimed to be the manager. All I have to say is that he has no management skills at all. I wasn't trying to get anything free, I wanted him to talk to the cooks and acknowledge that they screwed up but he was focused in arguing "defending himself". Very unprofessional, and very bad food, I honestly think they served us leftovers from who knows when. It looked like dog food. I paid and left so disappointed. 7 hours later and I'm still...
Read moreI love this Place. Well not this one exactly I've been going to the one on Venice boulevard for like 35 years and never had a problem. Driving back to Ventura I was hungry so I stopped in the one in the valley. Food was great as usual. The service could have a lot to be desired. This is finally what did me in with this place. I ordered an iced coffee with my meal it was just a plain iced coffee with lots of milk. When I was finishing I asked him if there was free refills he said yes and brought me a plastic cup. He brought me the car but no coffee which I asked him to fill. He did and then when I got the bill he charged me for two coffees which were labeled as Iced Latte what was actually no more than Ice Coffee. I explained it to him and he said well no no no no we don't have refills. I told him I didn't really want it since it wasn't free. He said well is there on the table. So I got charged for $10 for nothing more than iced coffee. I paid my bill and left the guy a couple dollars Tip. Moral of the story is make sure they are the weight is understand what you talking about. Since I do love it so much if I do go back it will only be to the one in Culver City. Very...
