I have never felt more ripped off in my entire life. I wanted a simple gelx chrome French Tip manicure. When I left and was in better lighting, I noticed that the chrome wasn't smooth at all, and that the technician charged me $25 over what she told me the price was. I told them about both of these things the next day, and while they did offer for me to come back for a fix, they completely ignored the fact that I was overcharged.
When I came back, the second technician asked me if I wanted to keep the color or change it, so I picked a different color for the gel and the chrome. And not only that, but she did two coats of the polish for the base color of the French tip and it was literally still see through and not an even application and she didn't care, and went on to do the tips. I told myself to trust the process and maybe she'd put another coat after she lined everything up, but she didn't and it looked pretty bad, so I asked if she could do another coat, and she did so I was grateful for that.
When she was done, they still gave me no explanation for why I was overcharged and instead told me that since I got a color change, it should've been $95 dollars but they wouldn't charge me this time?? Why was the first thing she asked me if I wanted to change the colors if it was "supposed" to cost extra. At that point, I was frustrated and ready to go because why wouldn't the technician mention that when I said yes and picked out new colors. On top of all that they made sure to stop me before I walked out to tell me that because they let me change the colors that I should tip the other technician who did just as bad of a job on the chrome as the first one. Because again, the second I stepped into good lighting, the chrome was not smooth.
And to put the cherry on top of all of this, literally all of the nails popped off by the third day... Love that for me.
They claim that because I got a fix, they can't do a refund BUT if a refund was an option before the fix, I don't understand why they wouldn't also mention that before I made the decision to go back. I would've gladly even accepted a partial refund because after all, a service was done, even if it wasn't a good one and I'm definitely understand of that. To this day they still to this day haven't explained why the first technician charged me a different price than she told me it would be, haven't refunded the overcharge or offered to fix the problem. How you can pay $150 for a simple gelx manicure just to have them literally pop off within 3 days is wild to me.
I could've done a better job on my nails myself. I'm honestly so disappointed. My girl talked so highly of them and I was excited to get my nails done just for me to receive the opposite of her...

Read moreI desperately needed my nails done last minute for a job and they needed to be a specific ombré multi color design. Solo Nails got me in at their latest time slot and Ogi was my nail tech. 1. SO sweet. Like truly what a gem. 2. She was doing trial and error at first trying to get the best system down for this design and then she figured it out and did great. 3. I had to get these nails redone at another place closer to my house that I normally go to for simple pedicures because they needed to look fresh again for the 2nd half of the job that was over a week later and WOW, truly demonstrated how amazing of a job Ogi did originally because the other nail technician sadly did a horrible job (lol, I hate saying that but it looks like a toddler did it and I may need to get it redone hours before work tomorrow)
