ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE!!! - I truely love Target, just not this location. I work and travel internationally as an actor. I picked up a duffle and Backpack a few months back and realised they were of no use. I returned the backpack at another location and decided to return the duffle. This location looked like it had been through THE MILL, a Black Friday apocalypse. I lined up in the Guest Serivce line, spoke to young Latino fello who asked me why I was returning the duffle, I told him the story of me being abroad & didnāt have time to return it prior. The wrapping on the bag was still in tact on the shoulder straps & it was new. He thoroughly searched the bag, puts it down ..picks it up, searchās it again, pushes up his glasses and sighs āI think this bag..ā, then searches it again. It was by far the most bizarre item check Iād seen, so he checks my receipt and claims it wouldnāt scan and a number on bottom was missing & they couldnāt look up my receipt. He calls over the Store Manager GLORIA, who then tells me oh we canāt help you, the receipt is out of date. I told her I just returned backpack at another location & there was no issue. She says of it wonāt scan, starts typing in numbers and states if it turns up on the system, we can give you the value of what it is which will be less. I said the item is still in stores, so it wasnāt a discounted it. She punches in numbers and says quietly to her staff member āit says this item was returnedā, unsure if she looked up the duffle or backpack but had access to the receipt. She looks and says, I canāt gain access to the receipt, I said you can look it up using my bank card, knowing she already found my receipt. Gloria says āoh we canāt look anything up with your bank cardā. I said I know for a fact you are lying to me. She goes oh.. well, ok just insert your bank card & we can try to look it up. Embarrassing moment for her. She then says, sorry, I canāt see the receipt on your bank card, we canāt help you set my recipe down and walks off. I told her and the staff member I didnāt appreciate being lied too. A couple seconds later I have a short Latino security guard behind me going āsir, you are being hostileā Iām gonna ask you to leave. I said itās customers service & I know for a fact the store manager lied to me twice, about seeing my receipt, and about not being able to use my bank card. Itās poor leadership. He threatened to call the cops, like I was gonna take off running, then gets upset bc heās giving me this weird āmental health egoā stare down and I told him is he gonna fight me or drag me out, he canāt tell me or make me leave for stating facts. I never been to this location, and heard about a parking validation, so I had to go to my car and come back in the store to have my validation scanned. Another young lady helped me & I explained Iām not trying to linger around but intended on shopping that day and now I need to leave on my own merit. She helps and I said thank you to which she said nothing and stormed off laughing with another female African American co-worker. Thanks Gloria for your fantastic staff.
In the end, I went to another target location and the lady there was friendly and helped me, less than 2 hours later. Moral of the story, you are in customer service, if you do not want to be in the service of helping people, go home or find a new career. GLORIA clearly didnāt want to do her job and as a manager, I understood why some of the staff were poorly mannered in professionalism. Her staff member didnāt want to return the items and after seeing her lie to me twice, his indifference made since. It starts at the top!
SIDE NOTE: Terrible Parking, store looks like it hasent had a renovation since 1992. Thereās a ton of target locations in LA, spend your money a better looked after location. For UCLA area? They must be tired of the students & maybe they assumed I was a student but your store looks tired! Fix it up buddy along with your piss poor approach to servicing. The smaller ones are great for pickups and delivery's and even more but it's just not the same but drives you to know that there is alot to buy still that is fun and needed to shop without them I don't think I would understand this majestic entirety feeling of enjoyment about the regular large target stores that shopping at them and buying is that what I wanted with that feeling of sure magnitude dollar verse the bouyancy on my banking. When I got here(but I say when I got back here to my favorite Target store I knew that things are better and things are different now and I know how to still I know how to get what I want in the good American way and I choose to still do that on my own since some important knowledgeable people choose elsewise,"not me",I rather shop myself still and use my own money and stay important and self-sufficient and depend on myself still because I'm young and I get along with others and I like making big shopping decisions and small ones etc.I am a Collegiate, an Educate and Collegic(yup) and I'm cellabant only but I'm a delinquent and that's what I we found want you to know all of you so you understand that I'm fine I'm okay I'm balanced and good to go since I am a Google local-guide and catching up on some reviews and grammar editing change-ups(lol). It's a fun and real nice stock,inventory,products and a safe expensive set-up but it's not an actual style it has the don't worry about it feeling and look with it and it's inviting and good that way believe me I know you'll like it, you have to try it and know you won't forget so dont worry about that. Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe worst experience ever. The store was almost empty at 8 pm. The staff gathered in groups doing nothing. The fitting room two staff members chatting. When asked to use the fitting room, I was told that the room closes two hours before the store closes, but didnāt know the reason why. The other one said, the floors need to be cleaned two hours before the store closes. I was sent to the āguest serviceā where I was told that ābecause of COVID the fitting rooms have to be closed 2 hours beforeā despite the fact that they had no customers around. I was told to call the customer service number b/c the manager comes to store only 2-3 times per week. After calling the customer 800 number, I was told that there was nothing she could do other than filing a report but didnāt know how long would that take. When asked for her permission to record the conversation she (Maddi) told me not to. The staff (Kayla and others) was arrogant and disrespectful. Absolutely not eager to assist, and told me that if I was not happy I should leave, which I did. I was disgusted with the service. Not going back ever again. As I was leaving, I was requested to pay $40 parking for being there for just over an hour. That was the last thing I needed after the fitting-room hassle...
