Let me paint you a picture: I’m sitting on a tour bus in the blazing LA sun, expecting a generic ride through overpriced zip codes and some half-hearted celebrity gossip. But then—MIKE steps aboard. Sunglasses on. Hair like a shampoo commercial. Voice like a caffeinated game show host blessed by Morgan Freeman himself. Within 3 minutes, I knew I wasn’t just on a tour. I was on a spiritual journey.
This man didn’t just point at houses. No, no, no. Mike summoned the essence of Hollywood with every sentence. 🏡 “That’s Leonardo DiCaprio’s house—where he allegedly once trained seagulls to bring him In-N-Out.” 🎬 “Right there is where Tom Cruise did his own stunts—on a Vespa. With a churro in his mouth.” 🌴 “These palm trees? They were extras in Baywatch.”
I laughed, I cried, I questioned my entire life path. At one point, Mike made direct eye contact with a souvenir Spiderman on Hollywood Blvd and said, “Your move, Tobey.” I SWEAR the guy in the suit bowed to him.
Highlights of the tour: • Mike doing impressions of 7 different actors arguing over who invented avocado toast. • Randomly pulling over and pointing to “where The Rock may or may not have once ordered a breakfast burrito.” • Getting stuck in traffic on Sunset Blvd while Mike improvised an entire fake soap opera starring me, my wife, and a raccoon named Steve.
By the end, tourists were clapping. A baby may have spoken its first word (“Miiike”). One woman said she saw Elvis in the clouds.
Final verdict: If you miss this tour, you’re basically skipping a private TED Talk from the illegitimate love child of David Attenborough and Jack Black. Ultimate Hollywood Tours was epic—but Mike? Mike is the Hollywood sign now.
Book the damn tour. Ask for Mike. Bring water and...
Read moreThis Hollywood ride was hands-down one of the best tours I’ve ever been on! Our guide, Rodger, had the perfect blend of humor and knowledge, keeping us entertained with nonstop stories about celebrity homes and the Hollywood hills. He was super engaging, made us laugh, and still managed to drive safely through all the twists and turns.
A fun bonus stop at Beverly Hills Park gave us 15 minutes to explore a local festival; which was a really cool surprise and added to the experience. But the absolute highlight? As the tour wrapped up, we took a left turn and suddenly… there was Danny DeVito! We literally got to see a celebrity right at the end of the ride. Total cherry on top of a perfect Hollywood day.
Highly recommend this tour, fun, safe, informative, and full of surprises. If you’re lucky, you might just spot a star too!
Also, big props to the shop staff where you meet for the tour busses on how they handled some of the more unpredictable moments that come with being in the middle of Hollywood. There were a few instances where clearly unstable individuals wandered too close to the group, but the staff handled it quickly and professionally. They made everyone feel safe and kept the situation calm and under control. It’s not their fault that Hollywood has its fair share of chaos, but they definitely...
Read moreI had an amazing experience on the Hollywood Celebrity Homes Tour in Los Angeles! The journey started at the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame and passed by many famous landmarks, including Beverly Hills and Sunset Boulevard. The two-hour tour offered stunning views, especially of the luxurious homes in Beverly Hills and the vibrant streets of Hollywood.
The tour vehicle was open-air, which allowed for unobstructed views of the sights, but since I visited during winter, it was a bit chilly. I recommend dressing warmly. Fortunately, blankets were provided on board, which was a thoughtful touch. There was also a stop at the Beverly Hills sign, giving visitors a chance to take photos and use the restroom.
Our driver, Rodger, was incredibly humorous and engaging. His commentary was not only informative but also entertaining, and he interacted with the passengers, adding a personal touch to the experience. His enthusiasm and professionalism made the tour even more enjoyable.
Overall, this is a highly recommended activity. The itinerary and service quality were excellent, making it a perfect way to explore the charm of Hollywood. If you want to dive into the glitz and glamour of Tinseltown, don’t miss this...
